I doubt this poor little guy will make it. Almost big enough to take flight, but Thursday's monster hail storm knocked him from his nest.

There were larger stones than this, but they all broke on impact.

No, unfortunately not. Insurance appointment next Wednesday. They're still drivable, just ugly at the moment.

Storm chasing is one of my hobbies. Have to get out to the Mid-West in May.
We get some nice Thunderstorms here in Cali in July and August but you have to drive out to the desert for any real action. Biggest hail we get is nickel size.

Pea sized hail happens a dozen times a year here, but that was a pretty rare occurrence. Maybe the 3rd of my lifetime locally.
