I am sure a lot of you guys have seen them around recently. I signed up for the chance to win a ZT 0560 (did not win), and checked out their site. It is a decent site with ho-hum stock. I think they are gearing up and stocking up as they are asking us what knives we would buy in another thread.
While on their site I found a Blur for a very good price, and thought even if I don't like it I can sell it and at least come out even or make some money. The first bad was the shipping and handling, $14.75! I thought that was a bit ridiculous and now realized why the knife was so cheap. I hate that tactic, but the total price was still decent so I proceeded. I love Kershaw, and this was a win-win situation. I ordered the knife and about a week went by and no knife (I was on vacation for the week so no big deal, but I was anticipating coming home with a knife in the mail). I emailed them and asked for a status update as I got no shipping confirmation email. I received an email very promptly apologizing and explaining they were very busy, but it should ship out withing the week. In that email was a copy of my order only they added a ZT 0301 (the total shipping did stay the same at least) to the order (an additional $272). I emailed them back and asked for the whole order to be cancelled. I explained that the excessive shipping and handling cost bothered me especially since that was exactly what was botched. Again, they were prompt and apologized and took care of it. I also received a voice message on my cell phone that I did not return due to it being done in my opinion. I believe it was form Johnnie Hundman who is the guy here on the forum.
So, they botched it up twice but handled it decently. They offered, after I cancelled the order, free shipping on the current purchase or a future one. I may take them up on it later. If I was really after that Blur, I may have not cancelled it, but as I was just trying it out for a great price it was no big deal. I think they are new, and trying real hard, so I will keep a lookout for them in the future, and see where they go.
