Forrest bathing is more about hugging trees than making them into Nazi effigies .

But that does look to be uplifting . ;)

Guys, you really shouldn't venture into the woods without a sword, a minigun, a flamethrower, a chainsaw, and a diesel generator. Otherwise you might die.

;)

I would probably use the condor otzi. That way I could have all the pretensions of an intimate commune with nature. Without actually having to put the work in.

Which seems like the theme of the event.

I thought OP was kidding, but after some googling: https://api.nationalgeographic.com/...vel/article/forest-bathing-nature-walk-health

We («we» as the industrialized/developed societies) live way to comfortable lives if we have the extra time and energy to come up with these things. Why do every single, simple, little thing we do have to be labeled and defined? I’m getting tired and annoyed.

And I’ll take a Skrama to the woods next time I’m bathing.

You could look at it this way:
If you hike, and they "bathe": they must be better at enjoying their time in the woods...
It's a bunch of bull, and don't let them get any traction with this line of crap.

People make up new terms for stuff all the time.
That is how languages emerged anyway...

I don't care about what new terminology people come up with, as long as I don't have to use it if I don't want to. :)

Forest bathing (which looks to be an English translation of a Japanese term), camping, hiking, bushcraft, wilderness meditation, etc. It doesn't matter to me.
I just find being in nature kind of fun (except for the damn bug bites), so I go out there when I can.

It’s a choice between just ignoring them OR give yourself a fancy title (bathing guru, forest feeler etc) and charge a ridiculous amount of money for taking them for a leisurely stroll in the woods and then drink coffee and look into the fire in silence for an hour or two. If you can’t beat them, take advantage of them..

You can't fight it. Hundreds more articles will be written using the term, and it will become cemented into the public consciousness. Then we'll watch the collective insanity of our time trend upward by another increment.

All bull@#$% should come with a warning label that says "may cause brain damage".

So can we beat them; or not?
I need to go find a nice, hefty "bathing stick".
