Knives For Ghost Hunting

Utah -

I requested 'paranormal' pics in the Photography sub-forum the other day. ( 230 Grains was swell enough to oblige me..... :D )

I'm going to assume you are serious in this thread. Some of those pics are pretty interesting.

My girlfriend and I plan to do some searching at some places I have mapped out here in California once the weather cools off some.

By the way , some cultures belive that steel ( knives , dagger , sword ;) ) can ward off hags and such , maybe you are not too far off carrying a knife like that. Another idea is to carry a small bag of blessed sea salk in your pocket , or somewhere. Sea salt is said to have the ability to absorb/repel negative energies.

I'm sure you know this but do be careful going on private property lest the ghost you find may have a badge and his/her very own gun :D

Nice pics , thanks for the thread.

There's an interesting way the ancient Mesopotamians got rid of Hags. You place a piece of rotten meat in a dish and leave it out overnight. Just before dawn, sneak up and clap a cover on the pot. You'll trap the hag inside.

Then go bury it at a crossroads. Be sure you turn arond three times before you leave. You'll confuse her.

I know all about iron and silver.

I use an Olympus Stylus - 9000 (12MP with a 10X Zoom) Great Camera!!!!

I call this "Chasing The Star." You guys go back. I uploaded a bunch of pictures last night.

It's not. I know you have to trust me on this, but it's not. I'm really after taking pictures of weird places and finding images in them. It's kinda about ghosts, but....

Check out some more pictures:

Look at this one I shot at a local "Haunted" spot called Hog Creek:

Do you see the dog-thing?

Its great to meet a fellow hunter. I have been doing investigations for almost 5 years with our local group Mississippi Valley Paranormal Society. Our meeting place is a large Victorian Manor that has been being used a Bread and Breakfast. It is extremely active with intermitten cold spots, even in the Summer, disembodied voices showing up on recorder(EVP) and we have a clear as day pic of a woman sitting in an original chair from the original owners who is wearing a dress and a bonnet. 2 children sit at her feet.

I used to live in Colorado and spent a lot of time off roading on old mining trails in the mountains with my Jeep Wrangler. Not looking for ghosts per say, just been in a lot of ghost towns which were former boom and bust mining towns. They are extremely interesting.

One thing I do know is that you need to carry a Colt to ward off these ghosts. Either and Single Action Army (preferred) or a 1911. Ghosts don't like .45's. :D

Nice Ruger though.

Can you post that pic ?

I'll see what I can do. We have a meeting on the 22nd, and I will ask the owner of that pic if I can borrow her memory card.

I will say this, take a good flashlight, a voice recorder, a digital camera and a 35mm camera with good film in it if you want to ghost hunt. Thats all you need unless your concerned with critters in the woods. The most we might run into where I live in Iowa is Fox and deer. No worries there.

I always have a knife on me no matter where I go. I always have my Victorinox Multi-Tool and a folder. Usually one of my Sebenzas.

Cool pics Uath! Nice Vaquero too. I have NEVER seen a ghost, but with my key ring it's no wonder:

I just slowly accumulated the medals over time, that one on the far right is for the patron saint of hunters! (I don't know if that includes ghost hunters ;)) Yes, they are really blessed too. Like I said, never have seen anything out of the ordinary, but I figure I'm prepared for whatever comes along :D

I see a human face the the left of the dog apparition.

Looks to be a couple foot away on the left.

Here's a quick pic I took of my ghost hunting knife. I have to be super careful with it.

I had one just like that but lost it. Where'd you get yours? :D

Seriously though, Uath, I checked out your site, cool pics and really nice artwork! I'm not sure what I believe about ghosts but don't doubt there are supernatural forces at work around us some times.
My mom is a no BS type of person and I remember her telling me a story of when she was a teenager playing with a Ouija board and the scary experience she had with it. I'll have to ask her to tell me the story again as I don't remember the details, only that it was enough for her to decide to never touch that game again.
I've also heard ghosts stories from other level headed adults I know who've experienced ghost phenomena first hand. Unless it can be disproven I try to maintain an open mind, kind of the same way I feel about extra-terrestrial life. The thought that we're the only intelligent life in this universe is highly improbable to me.
