Knives For Soldiers

I was in the Army for 8yrs. We were issued a knife during the Gulf War. I got issued a Pilots Survival knife. Even if I wasnt issued a knife, I had no problem buying one. My advice is to buy yourself a good Multitool. Trust me Ive been there and done that.

Ok, didn't mean to seem like I was begging for handouts here. Just trying to give people who want to donate a way to do so. I can see where some of you guys are coming from when you say that you've been burned before, so if you think a better way to do this is to donate to a program, perhaps some links to programs would be a good way to go. I know I was never issued a knife (got a seatbelt cutter, but no knife) and I doubt I'm alone. Also, the PX's in the states are vastly different than the PX's on the FOB. Mosul has very little in the way of variety...A couple of Kabars and multi-tools...other FOB's have more variety, and others certainly have less. Anyway, I really wasn't trying to scam anyone out of anything, and hope you guys didn't get that impression of what I was trying to do. If any of you have links to programs, please don't hesitate to post them.
Thanks guys
MJF

I considered joining force recon at one point in my life. I was told I'd get the perfect 300 on the PT by a marine buddy of mine.

To the OP: thanks for your service and good luck with getting some knives!

good luck to all of you and thank you for your service. I also planned on going into the military right out of high school and unfortunately got into an accident a while back. If my spine ever gets back to normal to where I can walk properly again, I will be the first one in line. You guys got me all worked up now :(

Just make sure your MOS is stated in your contract. Otherwise they will stick you where they need you, which is somewhere you may not want to be for 4 years. Good luck Bro.

Does your school offer a JROTC class and if so did you know if you take 3 years of it you get an automatic paygrade bump right out of basic, that is if your enlisting and not going in as an officer.

Sorry for the dumb question but what does MOS and JROTC stand for? Thank you.

OP - Stay Safe

Everyone going to in list - Enjoy it and be safe

Every military person, you are Blessed to be a Blessing and may God guide you.
