What knives do you carry to work? Or at least which knives do you bring to avoid brining too much attention. For example bringing out a cold steel espada will most likely freak people out than getting your spyderco bug.

Never had a knife I didn't relish bringing to work. Even brought my TiTAN to work. Worst anyone said was, "Why do you need something like this?"

I carry whatever fits my mood that day. Today it was my ZT 0550, last week it was the Adamas, sometimes the Griptillian , manix, or PM2.

However, I always carry a smaller blade, usually, but not always, a traditional slip joint, to use in environments where I'm unsure of other's reactions.

I work in an office environment - connected to a large manufacturing area. I wear slacks & carry a large damascus sebenza during the week. Except for "casual Friday's" when I'll carry something more substantial like a sebenza 25 or Shirogorov 111.

Everyone knows I'm the knife guy here; I have knives all over my office, and I don't think anything would surprise them anymore.

One exception is when visiting customer's away from the office, I'll carry something small like a small sebenza, mnandi or traditional slip joint.

Any knife in my collection is in my rotation. Luckily for me, I work in a metal fabrication shop and actually make knives. So no one gives a hoot about knives... at all.

This one has seen some pocket time at work. It's used for breaking down boxes and other miscellaneous cutting tasks.

Knives for everyday workplace should lean towards the traditional old schools knives people are used to seeing. Keep your one hand wonder easy flip knives for the woods or the home place.

i am a construction worker, so i have the luxury (and i use that word loosely) of carrying whatever i want. I usually carry a wenger standard issue, and either a cold steel 4" ti-lite aluminum handle, or as of late, i have started carrying a spyderco police g10 in full spyderedge.

I wear my Condor Bushlore to work on a grain farm every day.
My boss has not given it a second look, much less even asked
about or mentioned it.

Whatever whatever, I carry what I want.
Seriously though, modern folders or a Scrapivore in the pocket. If I feel the need to be discrete I always have a Leatherman Squirt on my key chain.

During the summer months I carry knives that are thin and light so they are comfortable clipped to the waist of my shorts usually ends up being my delica, dragonfly or 530 pardue. When I wear jeans its anything from my para2 to my hogue ex-01 to my zt 0561. If Im carrying a larger blade I will sometimes also bring along a smaller one for detail work.

For my "retail" job I just carry an old Spyderco Harpy becasue its already beat up and I don't like taking my "good" knives to work becasue I'm weird like that. I could carry any knife I want I just don't and I carry the old Harpy becasue it makes me feel better just knowing I have a Spyderco in my pocket lol. For EDC I carry somthing from my collection, usually somthing nicer like an SNG, some ZT, or Spyderco and latley been my BM Adamas which I'm loving so far.

I do industrial maintenance and my work knives usually take a beating. Thee days, alternate with Cold Steel large Voyager and Kerhaw Blur, both with tanto blades. The CS will absorb more abuse, but I love the sound of the Blur when it opens.

I do HVAC work, so I carry a bit of everything. I always have a Vic Sak Tinker and either a Izula II or a Spyderco Endura. Occasionally I trade out the larger knife, but always go back to those two.

I am a public sector employee, work a few yards fron the Capitol and the Governor's Office. I carry a German Eye brand copper head and frequently use it to open mail, etc. No one could care less. Many years ago I worked in a big, major department store, carried an Old Timer single blade trapper that I used everyday breaking down boxes, no one gave a poop. But this was all in the South. I did get in a bit of "cutting scrape" with a fellow employee once, but that is a long story and I didn't get in trouble. I easily could have but the rat was such a rat they were glad to be rid of him. He did hang out and follow me around the parking garage for a few days with his fellow nancy boys for a few days but I was carrying something wth a bit more "pop."
