Hey guys,
While I was at work last night I got to thinking about my collection and the pieces that I'm pretty sure I'll be holding onto. Iv got a Coal Creek Forge tomahawk I couldn't sell, I also have a hoback Kwaiback midtech that I'd never get rid of but in my entire collection those are really it.
What about you guys? What are you planning on holding onto?

How about the few I HAVE kept (as 100's of others have been sold or traded over the years) all of which have saved my butt at least once? :

Fixed:
'60's Schrade-Walden 15 OT Deerslayer in 1095.
'60's J. Martinni hand ground leuku in carbon steel.
'70's Tekna Ocean Edge dive knife in 420.

Folders:
The Schrade-Walden 108 OT I carried in high school.
'70's Hoffritz/Vic SAK Champion.
Buck 110 I can't remember when I bought.

In addition to those, more recently-purchased knives I'll still have when I'm 80: number one keeper will probably be my Grayman Dua for sure....original Masters of Defense Trident folder....BK-11san mai....maybe the Gryphon M-10....

None of my more expensive knives mean that much to me.

I bought my Lionsteel TiSpine specifically to be a legacy knife to pass down. There are knives I don't plan on getting rid of (0550, 0566), but that one is distinct in that I am pointedly interested in keeping it.

I plan on keeping my CQC-9 forever, and my ATCF for the foreseeable future (unless one of the two extant G10 CQC6s come up for sale).

For the time being, I am holding onto all knives I purchase. On occasion, I have given one away to a family member. Other than that, my blade accumulation continues to grow way beyond anything I could conceivably use personally. But I do not collect knives, nor have any interest in collecting knives.

For sure my Sebenza, my Umnumzaan, Emerson CQC8, Emerson ETAK, Emerson CQC 7V, and all of my ZT's. Anything else is in a constant state of Flux.

If something drastic came up, the absolute last to go would be the Sebenza, and the Umnumzaan, and the CQC 8.

If I could get $1.00 for every knife I said I was going to keep forever, but ended up selling 6 months later, I would by be able to buy a small country......

As of right this second though, I won't be selling any of my RHK's.

Knives, tools, and guns are the 3 things I will NEVER part with. It's just the man in me saying HELL NO!!! over 60 production folders and counting.

I plan on keeping the CCF tomahawk because that was the first item I ever had custom made for me I called Steve I drew a picture he forged and ground it out for me, it has more use on it than any other cutting tool I own (besides my kitchen knives) and I'd love to hand it down some day.

That's kinda my story.

Never getting rid of my first Strider folder or my RMJ Shrike.

same... i've never sold a knife or tool, but i have sold a pistol. i tend to keep everything i buy, and i don't lease vehicles. i like things to be mine since i never like to get rid of anything.

I have a M3 trench knife that will never be sold plus a old Western fixed blade that was my fathers. I also have a couple of cheap CRKT folders that I will keep, along with the Griptillian I just won. The Grip is not any sort of grail knife but, it is super handy. One other folder that I can think of is my US made Kershaw Zing. I just love that blade.

I am planning to buy a Muela knife which would be a fixed blade version probably the one among the Kirpan knives. I am really looking for ward to see my friends reaction when I would take the kirpan for my everyday carry to outdoors.
