It is accurate, but I don't shoot it because the early ones had a flaw that cause excessive wear on the bolt, which increases recoil as well. I've shot the newer 7600 as well in .308, the difference in recoil was noticeable. I'd rather shoot 40 rounds out of my 12 GA 887 than 4 from the 760.
It's not a gun I enjoy shooting, and even if I did hunt, rifle hunting is illegal in Illinois, gotta use a shotgun. So it sits pretty in my safe, next to my grandpa's 1944 M1 Carbine. He died in 1996, when I was 17. I have a few other guns from him, most non functional. Can't find parts for them.
I do shoot the carbine, fantastic gun.
