Yeah! They look great. I spotted one on eBay a few months ago but it seemed pricey and I passed. I’m keeping my eyes peeled.

I see the 2020's for $100-$150. Mostly Schatt and Case will be sanely priced on EBAY... not GEC. I dunno about VIper. That's some gnarly stag on the Lionsteels. Here are a few assorted I posted for Stagurday on some groups.

Thanks. Yeah, I bought it in 1990 when they were still readily available, but rumor had it that they were likely to be discontinued: too unconventional and expensive for the domestic market. I put a coupla hundred rounds through it, cleaned it up real good and squirreled it away. Glad I did. She still looks brand spankin' new in person.
Very nice! I was able to handle one of those in the 90s and it was a pretty cool pistol, very unique imo. How does it shoot compared to other makes/models?

bigolegator bigolegator --> Love those Shields... Flat and decent trigger out of the box.
Just an idea - this is a newer model than mine and I can't figure it out, but if it's a single stack,
you will probably like the Mag Guts springs and followers in your mags.:thumbsup:

It's not about problems or reliability, MG are very reliable IMO.
It gives you more capacity by converting your standard 7 rounds mag to a 9,
and puts 10 rounds in your 8 rounds mag, without using extensions. It works flawlessly.

Engineering mags to hold the right amount is pretty cool... I remember when Mecgar made flush fit 17 rounders for the old Ruger P95... they had always been 15 round guns if you used a flush fit mag. It was still a Ruger P95 though :) Mine still runs perfect and is still a brick that looks like a dump truck.

Tottaly agree w your post. My old, outdated and probably ugly SR9 runs like a champ and I can't think about any stoppages for all those years.
Some times ago, my son shot over 5k rounds white box cr@ppy ammo with it without cleaning it (pissed me off) and never had issues.
Another thing is - I try to stick with regular mags without extensions just for reliability. The floorplate of your Rugger is what I love with old
guns if clearing stoppages, and I'm sure you know why just by looking at it, sticking slightly of the grip.

Yeah that is a Mecgar. The Ruger ones actually sit further down and do not have the metal floorplate and the ones I got with the gun were cut mags where they were cut at the ten round mark and the rest of the mag was a long plastic bottom back when Bill Sr. was having a fit over more than ten rounds in his guns. The Mecgars are the best.

That P95 DC (decocker only, no manual safety) was my first centerfire handgun... I think I had my MKII Gov Target before that (.22 LR). I always wanted to try the SR9 but it disappeared from my state. Newer handguns are making it back here though, we just got the MKIV and a Sig P320 9mm (P320 M18).

Speaking of dump trucks. Ugly and chunky but it fits my hand. Factory flush-fit 15rds. Cajun Gun Works pro-grade kit. Inforce APLc. It’s the only polymer pistol I’ve kept.

I bet the old CZ100 was one of the few duds CZ ever released. Your gun looks great. I can't decide whether to send a SP-01 or a CZ40B to them to work over. I like my PCR just the way it is.

Ruger polymers used to have this indestructible glass reinforced nylon stuff that seem tougher than steel... the slide actually rides on the "polymer" on a P95DC and the frame isn't even tickled. It is heavy but shoots really fast because of the weight... like as fast as a G17 with a decent comp. Poor P95DC doesn't get picked to go to the range much anymore though.
