Speaking of 2011s, I just bought a Stacatto P and I have to say, I'm REALLY impressed. I have Glocks, CZs, and Sigs but I feel as though the Stacatto has ruined them. It makes them all feel, well... stupid. I've put several hundred rounds through it and it feels like cheating. It hits wherever I point it. Has such a natural point/grip angle and the trigger... nothing like a 1911 trigger. Just such a good shooter.

Those really are on another level, congrats on grabbing one. I got to handle an XC at my FFL and, just like you said, it made many of my guns suddenly feel like crude toys haha.

I relegated all my Gen4 G19 to backup stationary rolls when I went to Gen 5 guns. Then when I went 100% dotted those old gen 4 guns went to family members for truck guns. I kept one for the same reason. The Gen 5 trigger is night and day above the 4

That is interesting. I’ve never heard the Gen5 trigger was that different than any other Gen (dozens of specific reviews and people who have bought Gen5). I have heard that the Glock Performance Trigger is vastly better when upgrading a Gen5. I thought the standard Gen5 still had the spongy wall like all standard Glock triggers. What are you all finding that is so different about Gen5 triggers? I will have to try one.

Everyone of my 7 G19 Gen 5’s has a much better stock trigger than the Gen 4s I owned. I put north of 50K rounds thru Gen 4 guns in a decade of carry and comp. The Gen 5 trigger is still all Glock but feels cleaned up. It’s no longer gritty or clicky. It’s smooth and consistent pull from take up to release. I only run stock Glock and I am very very happy with all my gen 5 guns.

All those Glock triggers are partially cocked striker systems and most shooters feel the spring pressure of cocking the striker all the way before the break. The Glock Performance a Trigger converts the Glock to a fully pre-cocked trigger like a PPQ or VP9 or Canik or similar. Personally I find the PPQ trigger too light.

The Steyr M9 uses a precocked striker but is leaps and bounds better than Glock.

Anyway my next gun will be in the 3.6" barrel range compact 9mm with red dot mounting option.
