Companies keep trying to replace the Glock. Yeah it’s chunky, yeah it hasnt been updated in decades. Yeah everyone hates the grip angle.

But Glocks just work.

Although I do very much like the newer Smiths, with the flat trigger and improved grip texture. I’ve still got around 15 Glocks around the house at last count.

I get all my guns out of the safes every new year and give them all a light coat of oil and a good wipe down. Last time it took me and the wife close to 8 hours.

All that to say my Glock 17 and 19’s will probably always be my favorites just because I have been shooting them for close to 30 years now. More of a memory function I think.

All of the M&P's i've owned have been outstanding pistols but the ecosystem for them isn't as good. Glock's are simple and I can throw a rock and hit a store in my town that has magazines and OEM parts. I've also grown to love the Glock ergonomics.

Yes that exactly. Got my first Glock when I graduated high school in ‘89. Hated it, sold it, bought another 1 year later, hated it, sold it, bother another the next year.

So it took me 3 tries to fall in love with them and the rest is history. Went nuts at first and had every model except the 18. “Dream Glock”.

But yes, have boxes full of mags, holsters, you name it.

Since I'm nearing retirement my plan is to par down all hobbies and keep what I know works and love.

Always gonna rock a G17, G17L, G19 and G34.

I’ve got a gen 4 G26 with +2 pinky extensions that I will likely never sell. The gun itself is unmodified. I do like the standard sights as the dot in a box concept works well if I don’t have my glasses on. Very visible.
