Photos Knives & Guns

I primarily IWB. If back is causing issues I will OWB but not my preferred method unless outside with minimal people around me.
I tried a couple brands and settled on the Crossbreed super tuck for my IWB. It is comfortable to me. I want a Milt Sparks SS2 but not sure about lead time and not liking it.
The Sparks with a 1911 has a classic look to it.
I just find OWB to be much more comfortable. PA is an open carry state, so it doesn't matter if my gun prints, or sticks out a little from under a t shirt. I've been carrying a handgun whenever I leave the house since the early 90's, and no one has ever said a single thing to me about it. My wife claims that it's because I'm so mean looking & nobody wants to approach me, but I know that can't be it.

The Crossbreed was about the first IWB I tried. When they first came out, I got one for my Glock. It was more comfortable than any of the others that I tried at the time, but the Sparks is more comfortable for me. The full size 1911 doesn't seem like it'd be a good IWB carry, but it's slimmer than a Glock, Sig, etc, so it isn't too bad at all. My compact 1911 carries even better.

SS2 for what gun? Have 2 I’d sell for cheap, right now.

Nevermind….I saw you need it for a 1911.

Not good about the stock grips. Let me know when you get ready to part with the grips. Understand body holding up projects.
I heard some Kimber mags do that. So far mine have not. Hope you get that resolved. My '03 vintage compact carry will be due for new sights before long. I will check out the truly tfx sights.

I plan to keep the stock grips just in case I for some reason need to sell it.

Damn, prices have gone up on the Milt sparks holsters! I’d recommend checking out Ryan Grizzle for a custom holster. His wait times are less than Milt Sparks and quality is just as good, if not better.
Thank you. I will check his holsters tonight

Yeah, I just checked! I bought mine about 15 years ago, and they've gone up a bit.:)
I had a Ryan Grizzle OWB holster for an Sig 226, but sold it with the gun. I think he was just starting out then, and there was no wait time. Mitch Rosen has nice, affordable stuff. His Express line of OWB holsters are about $105. I have a couple of them, and they're top notch. I think when I got mine they were $75, so it's been a while.

Boxy is beautiful

I am a revolver guy at heart even tho several semi auto are close by, BUT that 110 steals this photo for me.

How is the Kimber treating you? Looks like several grip panel options.
The Buck 110 is a 'classic' in every sense of the word. This one is a three-dot manufacture, had-it for over forty-years. I own two Kimbers: a Gold Match II, and a Target II in 10mm. Kimbers are an excellent brand in 1911's. Dan Wesson also makes an excellent 1911. I have their Razorback, also in 10mm.
