Me too. Last page (49) started with Baxtrom on down, single exception was Wonderboy.

This always happens in this thread too. Last year there was a corrupted photo link from a free European pic hosting site. It has followed this thread ever since and each time somebody uses a foreign (usually European) photo hosting site the link itself is corrupted and BF gets stuck at that point and won’t load photos on that particular page, even Avatars. Once the page ends and the new page starts (now page 50), all the photos and Avatars load and show again. The foreign hosting site is usually in Portugal, but I have noticed a couple of other countries too in the past.

Very frustrating to say the least, and no fault of BF.

At least we are on a new page now (50).

Sorry if my post screwed up page 49, I don’t understand how though, I’m using imgbb which seems to work fine in other threads and is also a well known image hosting service?
Edit: created a post re this in the tech support sub forum

I don’t believe it was your picture on page 49 that did it, this started many months ago on this thread.

What appears to happen is the file from a long ago posted imgbb or other foreign host site (can’t remember which one) failed to download/upload completely, and the BF server somehow either gets stuck in a loop or just gets stuck on that very first photo, then it carries over to the next page that uses a incomplete link and it gets stuck again trying to load it. It even causes members Avatar to fail to load and show.

I posted here when it first happened, but I can’t find the post, and it doesn’t download anyways and just gets stuck. Has nothing to do with cookies on our end, but may be by browser, as some can see and some can’t, cleaning/clearing ones catch has no effect.

Your pictures show just fine in any other thread, and most time here too. At least it skips over once the thread turns to the next page. So please don’t think it was your link photo that caused it baxtrom baxtrom , it wasn’t. I read your post in the Tech section, that was very nice of you to post that.

I suppose we could lock this thread and start a new one and that would work, but with some members saying they can see everything and some saying they can’t, it would only serve a select few.

As J jfk1110 said, lucky that it only happens in this thread now. A while back it was very sporadically happening in the pic of the week thread and food and blades thread too. I just waited until the thread began a new page before trying to view it. This thread Knives & Guns moves slower, so it takes a few days to change pages (20 posts per page), so it’s noticeable for a longer time frame when an error occurs.

So please keep on posting baxtrom baxtrom , I really enjoy seeing your posts and pictures, and it’s an added bonus that it’s coming from Sweden.

I use tumblr.com after an issue with a previous hosting site. Tumblr has never been down that I know of, and it is a free service. Images load fast and without issue when posted.
