Knives I took to Milan

Ouch!!!!! amazing stuff, Rodrigo!!!:thumbup: I'm guessing that Italian customs didn't try to pry the handle scales off of that mammoth knife like our guys.

US customs had a problem with mammoth ivory?

..

I love your willingness to keep pushing into areas no one else has been. And just being there isn't enough, you do it so well it makes the rest of us cry!

Please, for the sake of the craft and the art of the blade, keep it up. Even though you may not know it, we are all watching...

Absolutely...!

I forget whether it was actually fossil mammoth or walrus, but the folks in Atlanta wanted to confiscate a yataghan that Rodrigo brought in and settled for him prying the handle scales off and leaving them at the airport.

That truly does suck considering the level of work he always exhibits, I'd be heart broken having to do that!

Rodrigo my friend, absolutely stunning. I have to go with John and Joe and say that the mediterranean dirk just blows me away. The carving, the pin work, the damascus, what a package. Beautiful work, you are the man.

I often say "how does he do that?" when looking at your work. These are jaw dropping examples. Especially the fluted or carved steel on the dirk AND the fileworked 'integral collar' on the first one. Thats just insane!

Rodriggo must be a Brother From Another Planet because his work is out of this world!
You go, Rodriggo:thumbup: Make some history like Buster Warenski!

I love the simplicity of line yet many of them in the Atlantis and the flow of the knife to the sheath. The Parigi is simply extraordinary. As others are, I too am totally enamored with Rodrigo's knives which just get better all the time. One can't help but wonder where he will go with his designs and artistry next. Congrats on more wonderful knives Rodrigo. Paul and I had been remarking the other day that we had not seen new work from you and now we all know why. Hope we see more soon.

It's not like I haven't come to expect the outstanding, but my socks are still routinely blown off by your work. And when you throw down like this.... wow.

The pin work alone on that one piece is enough to to have me slack-jawed.

Roger

What he said:DAbsoulutely stunning in every aspect!!

Jon, Rodrigo did a WIP thread once, and after reading it over and over again, I still have no idea how he does that!! :D

I think I crashed the computer with all the tears that just fell on it...

Absolutely breathtaking.
