Knives in Great Britain

Hello friends!

Are there some original knife patterns in Britain? Some weeks ago I ran around in Cambridge, looking for a pocket knife for my collection. But the only ones I was shown were Swiss Army Knives and french Opinels.

Is the nation around Sheffield really that poor - or only the students of Cambridge?

It's my understanding that Great Britain has passed sweeping, incredibly strict restrictions on the possession of knives. Given that, I'm not surprised the knife shopping isn't great on that side of the pond.
