Like all "Reality" shows, it's completely fabricated. Unk. about the knives, but most of them have side businesses, probably track them down via email, etc?

No but seriously, is that big reveal to some people? It's enternainment, not the six o'clock news.

Whether a show is scripted or even semi-scripted doesn't equate to the people on the show being fabrications as well. At least some of them are very capable, very skilled outdoorsmen.

well, beautiful scenery, interesting equipment, and at least some real characters. anyway, some are using interesting knives. For example, in the last episode, both Eustace and Mike were using stag handled carbon folding knives for skinning. Both with great patinas.
