Well forumites, I was just wondering if any of the makers here have ever had any of their blades appear in a movie or a tv show?? If they did, how did it affect your knife making career, good, bad, or not much? I once made a beautiful, and wicked looking pair of cicle blade short swords that would have been great in a martial arts flick, I just had no idea who to send them to.That would also be nice to know, where would one send a blade for such consideration???

Take care! Michael

I haven,t, but have friends who have! Yes it helps you business, big time!! BUT it is the biggest pain in the backside! Each knife that's used must have an identical back up! But the big problems are the "experts" on the set: Make it 1/2 inch longer, so you do, twice. I don't like it lets try 1/2 inch shorter , so you do, twice again. No it still isnt right, make it thicker, thinner, more tacks, less tacks, wrong color handle........ By the time all the experts like it, you are about to go mad!!

Then: the scene it's used in lasts 1/10th of a second and no one sees it anyway. A few years ago a big deal was made of the knife in the movie "Unforgiven". Nice knife!! I rented the movie to see the knife in action and had to watch 3 times to find it! I don't think I would do it!! ..... But I haven't been asked!!
