Knives in movies

Denzel whipped out a fully serrated Spyderco Police on those two rapist crackheads in training day.

I forgot what movie it was from, but it was about a killer escaping jail to get to a girl, and he killed her family before, it was released this year. The killer had a cold steel black sable, it makes you wonder how a escaped prisoner finds a 400 dollar knife lol. But in one of the scenes when the guy pulled the knife out, you could see the edge which was like 3mm thick(edge not spine) lol.

"The Hunted" was a good knife movie. Everything I've referenced so far points to the Tom Brown Tracker:

But I seem to remember the Kabar Warthog in that movie(it's been a while since I've seen it):

Almar Smatchet in the first sniper when becket is fighting the other snpier in the barn. Beckett also cut some barbed wire with a Leatherman of some sort. Also, in this movie there is a "funny" sequence where he is trying to shoot that rogue sniper and hangs his Kbar over water to distract the bad guy. while in the water the Kbar turns into one of those old, cheap survial knives that had the bubble compass on the pommel that capped the hollow handle. look close and you'll see it. Beckett's spotter in the opening scene pulls out an EK Warrior to cut open something.

In the movie Survival Quest with Lance Hendrickson the leader of the other, militaristic survival group uses a Buckmaster.

Recently, in Resident Evil 3, the lead tough chick used two Khukris

have to go watch some more films to see if i can spot more --- Eric

In "Nurse Betty," a movie full of violence, a Schrade Old Timer appears prominently but in a more gentle role. The hitman character played by Morgan Freeman uses his Old Timer to cut "Nurse Betty" free. After freeing her, he holds the knife for awhile, contemplating. Then he folds it up and drops it back in his pocket. All in all, I give the Old Timer's appearance two thumbs up!

Here's an interesting old thread on knives in movies, used in NON-violent ways.

on friday's episode of monk someone uses a spyderco delica i think..it's a spyderco, but im not sure which one

Thats right, it was prom night.
If you get no replies then bump it back to the top of the page.

In Heroes Season 1: "Company Man," The Haitian uses a Spyderco Delica fully serrated to cut Claire and Sandra free. I'll see if I can get a pic.

I just remembered one that was one of the reasons I wanted to start this thread. From "Lost Boys (2): The Tribe"; at first I thought it was a Kershaw Blur due to the red & black handle, but it seems to have a square shape around the pivot that doesn't look right. Any ideas?

I kind of wonder if that's a variation of the Browning Ice Storm

The prop knife might have been one of those, but according to the storyline, the character made the knife himself.

In a recent episode of 'My name is Earl' there was a kabar seen quite a few times.
