KNIVES IN SERVICES OF INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES

First the most part spies do not carry weapons......
They are usually embassy personal with diplomatic immunity and are asked to leave.
Other covert operators are usually are caught, imprisoned and later exchanged.
The Soviet Union and satellite states and the US seemed to have decided not to kill each other during the Cold War.
I'm sure there are CIA, etc working in dangerous places. I believe their training includes being able to make or aquire weapons.
If you were to meet a spy...... not knowing.....you would find them to be average looking and boring.
Although today with the EDC craze and all the knives and gear today.
Q..... would would be darn near out of a job!

actually remember the supposed cia spy ryan fogle who was busted for spying in russia a few years back, he had a combo edge sog flash 2 on him when he was caught

It was said that CIA field agents would sometimes carry Al Mar Eagles in places where they could not carry guns.

SAK. Nobody suspects someone who carries a SAK until they use it to tunnel into top secret HQ while dispatching the sentries along the way. The corkscrew is useful in boudoir scenarios which invariably occur when spying.

In the 1980's, Al Mar knives had models produced for the FBI, Pentagon, Border patrol and a couple of other agencies. Whether or not they actually carried them - I don't know. The few agents I have known personally all carried Spydercos.
