Photos Knives in Trees II

This bit of woods is on our property. Our back yard turns into these woods pretty much right where this knife in the tree is. It is very lush and thick in the summer. Years ago I had cleared it all out and had the "grassy" part down to where I could mow some and weed-eat the rest. A bunch of work though.

I jokingly call it our "Snake Farm". We've killed several, even had one in our house. It was just a baby though. The cat got him.

Here is a pic of a cute one. Scared the crap out of me one day mowing the yard. Shotgun blew the rest of him into the ground. When the other piece was still connected to him, he was about 4'. I'll allow most snakes, but NO Copperheads or Rattlers!

That's some beautiful property! Yeah, I don't mind snakes but it's worth keeping them away from kids and pets.

I used to hike in a place that had rattlers but they were pretty docile. If one was in the path, it would just sort of sit there and rattle. I used a longer walking stick there and when I'd come across one, I got good at spiking the ground under their center of mass to fling them far off the trail. I don't know that they enjoyed it but I'm sure it was a special experience and they got to stay alive. 😜

It was hard to tell the scales from that pic but I was close 😂 I love mine in black desert camo CF.

Let this be inspiration to take a picture of it in a tree!

They get some cool materials from time to time. I've asked them to get Jungle Wear Fatcarbon but they weren't sure that there was enough interest. I think they said that the Lava Flow had been a slow seller. If anyone else likes Jungle Wear, which is the ultimate in green carbon fiber, please reach out and request it over there.
