Look up lock pickin' on youtube.com some are good but most are real bad.

Nuthin' more satisfyin' than the snick sound the cylinder makes as the pins fall into the shear line.:D

Men giving life to a lost art! Bless ye! :D

I'm a locksmith on my days off (NLA certified) and it's a blast to do it right. Saw a tutorial once on how to do a padlock with a piece of tin can, but never could get it right.

I lost a Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife a few years back while camping/hiking. Replaced it with 5 Ka-Bar next generations ,1 Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife, and 4 Ka-Bar fighters.

Found: camillus U.S. issue pocket knife on Randolf AFB, Gerber multipliers, Buck 110 100 year anniversary edition, Fine grit DMT 6" diamond stone, probably a lot more I have forgot about, and bunches of chinese gas station specials.

Well I found the Gerber Silver Knight that started this thread but now I'm missin' a CS Tanto Voyager, and SOG Flash.

Now I'm lookin' for 7 watches I've misplaced while cleanin' my nightstand.:thumbdn: :grumpy:

What all knives of yours are still MIA?

Lost: Benchmade Griptilian 550BK after giving it to my friend for use while staying at a treehouse hostel for a week. Whilst telling me how she had lost it she produced almost 165$ as payment for a replacement. I wrote it off because she's a good friend and that is what you do. Very dissappointing losing such a rare knife, plain edge too!

Lost: CRKT KISS; I have no idea where this one went. Either someone stole it my first year at university or I lost it while drinking or just left it in the dorms when I moved out.

Lost: Gerber Gator; see above.

Lost: Victorinox Soldier; the one day I wore sweatpants to class during university and the darn thing fell out during class. The girl next to me picked it up and asked if it was mine. I wasn't paying attention and said "no." So she handed it in to the Professor, probably went to her kids or something.

Lost: Leatherman PST II; I think my brother may actually have this in his glovebox still.

Lost: Leatherman Supertool; Pretty sure my room mate walked off with this one.

Found: Benchmade Griptilian 550BK! Same knife as above. I was traveling to Chicago with the same friend who lost it when she unrolled her sleeping bag to sleep in the back of the van we were driving in the knife popped out. Happy Day!

Found: Buck 110 X with about 1 inch of the blade tip snapped off. Found it when I moved into my previous house. I learned to sharpen on this knife and still EDC it sometimes, despite the blunt tip.

Found: Smith & Wesson Rescue Knife; the one with the spring-loaded punch in the handle and the huge serrations. I thought it was pretty neat and eventually gave it to my other brother.

My dad told me to always "check" gut piles during deer season. The happy hunter is so excited (or grossed out) that the knife sometimes gets covered up when doing the deed and is forgotten and lost. Apparently he had learned the hard way....

A guy making small talk at my dads work a few years ago showed him an Old Timer pocket knife he had found the year before next to a gut pile. It was my dads!!! Complete with the missing badge and broken tip, and after my dad described the exact tree he had "left" it by the guy returned the knife and they have been good friends ever since! Don't ask me why the guy carried such a grim looking beat up thing for the better part of a year, but he did. Must have been the thrill of the find
