A lot of my friends sold their cards. Every single one regreted it.
I follow the rule "Never sell your cards".
Well, if the children are in danger, we have a whole different situation. Besides that, I keep them.
 
Not to derail this thread - never into games (old or new) but I’m intrigued that collecting (anything) often includes other interests. My primary hobby was woodworking with hand tools, but when degenerative disk disease ended that run I turned to fountain pens ( which have some similar price points to knives). We’ve seen threads with knives and cats, watches, flashlights, cards, you-name-it. So maybe I’ll start a thread to include one’s favorite knife alongside the favorite fountain pen, ink and paper!

Pens are cool, though as a lefty, I've never been able to use a fountain pen. I've had a few cool ones over the years, but never anything more than $40.

One of my favorites was the Cross Ion, and I miss both greatly. I like thick pens as I have largish hands and arthritis. Mine disappeared, and they are long discontinued.

I keep a Fisher space pen in my med bag, my primary work pen is a Dr. Grip. At home I have a bolt action pen/stylus.

Edit: I must admit, I hadn't thought about those Ion pens in years. Found a blue one online just now for a decent price, bought it and some blue refills. Should be here Wednesday.

I'll have to come back with a knife pic later since I'm just finding this thread. I did some card altering back in college for fun. Hindsight being 20:20, I probably wouldn't have painted the few cards here that ended up jumping 10x is value. The Gilded Drake was a particular goof on my part. Still have it and play it, since I'm sure its lost 50% resale value now. I'm 100% commander only these days. Don't have time or $$ to keep up with anything else. Least not with knives and guns in the hobby rotation as well :)

Exactly, I'm 100% commander too.
 
I was directed to come here with my special flavor of nerdery.

My husband has played this game since 1998. I learned recently that some people like to paint the cards or give them effects. I thought I'd give that a whack.

There are some really nice alterations. Especially the Mana Vault speaks to me. Gives it a looking of depths in the picture.
 
SarahLadd SarahLadd Those are incredible. Something I would consider buying. Really like the Sol ring and swiftfoot boots.
