Knives On Order 2015

After the fiasco of 2013, in which I had to cancel my Chopmuk-sized Canadian belt knife, I was finally able to add myself to the wait list once more. While I am not ordering the afore-mentioned knife, I am ordering a very nice skinner/butcher pattern which is similar to the sheep skinner that Tats and CBWoods ordered previously. If I can figure out how to convert this PDF file to JPG I will throw the sketch up for everybody to see. After my wife OKed this one, I told her I would sell her car before I canceled again :D

Figured it out

A while back I had presented the question "What would a JK version of a Gerber Flayer look like'' perhaps this is the answer.
Is the blade to be sharpened all the way back to the handle?
I am anxious to also see the sheath you choose.
You won't skin any of the pretty sheep, right?
It's going to be a fantastic knife I think.

Thanks fellas, I have admired the older style of knives for many years.

I will be honest, I am not sure what features would make one sheep prettier than the next? There are no sheep close to me so I guess they are all safe 😉

Yes, the blade will be sharpened to the handle. I had to Google the Gerber flayer to find out what it is. I'll let you decide that one since I have never held or used the Gerber.

The sheath will be a plain unadorned leather sheath. Some time later, I may have one of the makers do a fancier rig for this knife and my CBK.

Lastly, I expect that I will really enjoy this knife. I had to take a (really) slow boat to Africa (temporary work) and this is my reward to my self 😃

Reminds me of a Green River Skinner. I time tested design, and I have no doubt it will serve you well.

Looking forward to see to this one come to life.

Cool design, Penn -

And maroon micarta - that'll be fairly unique from John's shop.

best

Updated! It`s only 9 degrees in the shop this morning, but since I am taking Thursday and Friday off for the surgery I figured I had to get started.

Only two more weeks left to place orders and get a firm delivery date. After that I will not be able to commit to a scheduled delivery.

All the steel and handle materials needed for scheduled orders (plus extras for sales) were ordered today! I won't be ordering again until mid March, if there is any demand.
