Knives & Pens

I was hoping there was a thread here that covers tactical pens. I did not fully understand what was meant by "tactical". I was thinking in terms of a tough pen that can take abuse. Now I have learned that it is also about its use as a defense weapon instead of a knife, which might get you in hot water depending on where you are. The cases my Multi-tools come in all have a place to fit a tactical pen and a small LED flashlight. Looking at the choices, I see you can spend a considerable amount of money on a tactical pen. Now I have to learn who makes good ones.

Hinderer pens aren’t as readily as they once were, but you can still get them. Some pretty interesting attachments to go on the ends for defensive purposes.

Countycomm doesn’t explicitly advertise their collection as “tactical”, but several of theirs would probably compete with other brands in that category. They also have topo designs.
