Say, if you don't own any of these knives in the poll, which one would be your pick?

This will be my only high end steel purchase this year (and so I told myself :)). The next one will be towards the end of the year or next year. We're currently have wet weather and will head into winter in June.

I like my L T Wright gns sabre grind in aeb-l. And my Bradford Guardian 5.5 3v. Hard to pick one.

one of these.

If not, then whatever on your list you like that comes in 3v and NOT scandi grind. Scandi sucks.

The only place to purchase is on the forum, which requires paid membership to buy and sell?

You can buy. You can't sell and you can't list a trade. You can respond to things listed by others.

I've bought numerous things off of here, I just don't sell them here.

Those knives look to be in great condition. Are they your collectible pieces or you haven't put them through hard use yet?

I'm not familiar with any on the list.

Budget-Wise, I'd have to eliminate the Bradford's right off the bat.

Since I have good knives with 440C*, S30V, D2, and CPM154, I really don't need another knife with or without a super steel, that in all likelyhood will never get carried or used ... truth is, I already have enough knives to last a few lifetimes ...
*440C: The original "Super Steel" :)

I'd probably upgrade some of my archery, or convert my adult trike to electric, rather than get a high end/spendy knife I probably won't use.

Ive had them for a whole week....so yeah, they look kinda new. The unbuffed micarta dek1 has become my new edc FB, replacing my sykco 511 (stripped, reground gently, and primary bevel substantially reduced).

The 511 will be my winter knife, the dek1 will be my summer knife. The buffed dek1 is a backup/more classy option. The fk2 is my pack knife. Give me a while and I'll scratch up the edc dek1. The other 2 are likely to get much less wear.

I don't have any of these, but I Do have (4) L.T. Wright knives, and love them. They are some of my favorites....
I'm not a fan of scandi's....but if I Had to have a scandi, and it Had to be a L.T I'd probably pick a Gary Wine's L.T. Wright...

Also, since you like them...check out Battle Horse knives.
BH and LT used to be partners who ran a knife shop called Blind Horse. For some reason they split up, idk why?

But similar patterns, and styles, same quality.

You can buy, not sell without the paid membership.

I don't have any of the knives you listed. I have two customs in CPM3V. Great steel.

Those who have posted the CPK knives above gave great recommendations!!

I've held and fondled CPK.

The LT Wright knives look good a well. I'd avoid a scandi for an all arround knife.

I have a "scandi-convex" I made my self with very thin stock that I enjoy, but at .07 stock it is going to be different to a thicker knife.

Full convex and flat are my top choices. I have both (self made, and factory).

I'm gonna respectfully disagree with C co556guy about the scandi grind.

Scandis work much better for slicing wood than any conventional ground knife, even those ground thin (and yes, I have a DEK1, scandi is still better for bushcrafty stuff).

I would, however, recommend getting a Mora (a Basic or Classic cost less than $20) of some sort to at least try out a scandi before getting a nicer scandi ground knife.

I have not mess with a scandi-convex knife so I cannot comment how good that grind works.

Feel free to disagree. The mere existence of the scandi grind in current knife culture speaks to the fact that different opinions on the matter exist.

It's incumbent upon the individual to pick what works best for their purposes/philosophy.

My dislike of the scandi grind doesn't mean it's universally inferior (or superior). It just means I dislike it.

None of the above.....
Happy with a 3" to 3.5" folding knives, cost $50 to $175 . Most of my knives cost $74 to $100 .
