Never took the chance to write about this.
Last year I purchased a Brous VR-71CF from Knives Ship Free. The one they sent me was a prototype, and unfortunately it had about a 5% lockup: it almost looked like it was hanging on by the detent ball. I got it to fail by lightly rapping it on the back of my thigh. Called KSF, and they issued me a new one. If I remember correctly, they even paid the shipping.
BTW, the lockup on my new VR71CF is awesome, and it is one of my favorite and highest quality knives.
