I think I fell in love with the Fällkniven U2 and U4 models, but would like to know whether you guys prefer a similar model over any of those two. This is not about the laminate steel by any means, in case you're wondering. I just think the design is really beautiful and the size of both models practical for what I'm looking for. However, the knives not having a pocket clip is a bit of a downer for me and I'm not sure if I'd like any screw in/glue on experiments with a knife of that price.
What's holding me back is that no store around me is carrying either and I would have to order over the internet. I read many reviews online (of the U2) saying that they expected more out of the knife, that it simply does not live up to it's price tag. Some said the handle feels downright cheap, and some even said they keep slipping on it. Then quite a few people said the blade hits the backlock and how the next model they bought had the same issue... That's not making me confident.
So, whether you would like to recommend those knives or an alternative to them, I'm all ears. I had a Ka-Bar mini Dozier in my hands, which I liked, but is much more "modern" looking. I also tried the Sanrenmu 605, 6040 and 4060, which are too small for my taste.
