Have you ever sold a knife and then repurchased it down the road? If yes, which knife, why did you sell & repurchase, and how long were you without it?

Yep, a ZT801 and now I'm looking for a Spyderco GB1 to replace the one that I sold a while back.

Chris Reeve.
I always think the next one will fit me better but they just don't.
I'll learn at some point they're not for me but till then I'm glad there's a big fan base here that will always help me out when I list them on the exchange.
Spyderco PM2, same thing. I've had a dozen probably.
ZT0452. I'm on my third and it's the one I'll keep. M390 steel is the nutz.
The first two were S35VN and I liked them enough to buy the third.
Hinderer XM. I've had a few but never settled on one till I picked up a no choil M390 and had it reground. Perfection and a keeper.

There are many more.

I bought a Ferrum Forge Fortis when they first came out. For some reason I could not get the knife very sharp. May have been my sharpening skills. Then I tried a V edge instead of convex. Once I got that edge set, I found it so easy to keep it hair popping sharp. I loved the design so much I gave it another try, and sold it again, then bought one again once I figured out about the V grind, and now that is one knife I would never sell!! My favorite folder by far! Would love to find one more Fortis B as a backup if anyone has one to sell! :) All in all I think it was my sharpening skills improving, because I have a lot of conveyed edge blades now and they perform great, and get razor sharp. Guess is just took practice. That was my first high carbide steel, maybe another reason. Now 20CV(M390) is my favorite small blade steel. I can keep it sharp with ease.

Really too many to mention. Sold to thin the herd or get money for something else. Re-bought because it was missed or fit the herd better now. I am looking for about 4 right now 3 Sebenza's-sm Stars & Stripes, Lg unique graphic I call Sun Rise, Small Mammoth bark. These along with a one off Laconico non flipper clip point.

I'm on my 3rd sebenza 21. I won't sell it again. I have had 2 hinderer xm-18's. Although I still respect those, I won't buy another. A lot to improve on those, I think.

Never have I sold and repurchased. Once, I lost a knife bought a replacement.

I would buy another Sebenza if I had the money and they changed the thumbstud. I have Paul Bunyan thumbs and can't grip the damn things.

I will eventually but a medium sized Brian Tighe Tighe Rod, as the small didn't quite fit my hands.

Ive bought and sold the exact same lionsteel sr1a(tnp) here on the exchange twice. Also did this with a manix2. I love how they are made, look, steels, etc.., but just dont like using them. For me the its the height of them and their handles are a bit too much. Love everything else about them though.

Ive also done this with pm2's, millies, and dragonfly's. Mostly to make some quick funds from those though.

Benchmade 860 Bedlam. The first had a satin blade and was manual. Something about where my fingers sat, very close to the blade, made it a bit awkward to flip open with the thumbstud (big blades can be tough to flip open as it is), but then when closing it I had to be careful where my fingers were. I eventually closed it on the tip of my ring finger and ended up trading it, but I just loved that upswept blade. About a year later (last week actually) I got a great deal on an auto version with a black blade and it's PERFECT. Flies open and having to close it two handed, or at least more slowly because of the spring tension, makes me keep my fingers clear.

I don't see Tighe mentioned very much, but I like his knives (handled a Tighe Breaker-Rade hybrid, was very light and precise). I wonder why that is...

I love his knives. If I had the money, I'd own a few of his and a few by Alan Davis.

ZT 0452. Bought one and sold it. Regretted it. Bought another, sold that too after about a month.

Also I have had a Spyderco Para 2 three different times. I want to love it but I just love the Military better than both so I never kept them

Benchmade 755 MPR

Bought and sold in 2010. Liked the knife, hated the original Ti pocket clip

Re acquired a few months back when I realized that it could be carried as a pocketknife.

Benchmade 940.

Longed for that knife for a long time and really enjoyed it. It fell out of my rotation and I sold it off.

Regretted it and within 6 months to a year, but a like NIB 940 to replace it.

It is, admittedly, infrequently in my rotation but when it is, I really enjoy using and carrying it. Love the blade shape and while it seems strange, I think the green scales and purple back spacer looks great.

Yes! I bought, sold, and repurchased this exact knife (not just the same model but the same physical knife):

It's a Serge Knives Bean. I sold it just to free up some cash and try something new. It went all the way to the UK (to @Gunboypaul). I started to miss it pretty shortly after selling it. A long time after, I happened to be browsing the for sale section here and saw that Gunboypaul was selling the same knife for a very good price, so I jumped on it immediately. No plans to get rid of it this time.

Not happened yet but I have been thinking about purchasing a ZT 0200, which I sold a few months ago.
