Knives that use CPM 3V (aka S3v)?

fehrman (the whole line)
bark river- liten bror, canadian
koster- nessies+bushcrafts

the fehrmans run at 57-58
bark river advertises 58-59 but i had mine tested it came out at 60 so im happy

Jerry Hossom works a lot with that steel and is one of the best specialists with it.
Phil Wilson works with most CPM steels, including 3V, though more with other 10V, S110V. I have knives from both and can only attest to their superb performance and quality.

theamazing drew gave a good round up of this alloy. ferman used to make some 9in. models in this would guess it would make a great axe. i understand its expensive but deserveily so . if it takes more shock than s-series then this alloy has to be king of the choppers. my b.r. lil canadian is a good cutter but too small to baton.do to expense i doubt we will see any axes or hatchets made.the specs seem to show a knife almost as tough as busse however i doubt it would hold an edge as long. we will probably see a test from some of the guys soon.in any case this test would certainly mean a heck of cash outlay. think i will stay with testing 5in. or shorter blades.

What's the blue handle material in your profile pic Phil?

It's glow-in-the-dark burlap micarta by Todd Combs. Neat stuff. The glow isn't as strong as I'd like, though; and it's a pain to finish burlap micarta to a high gloss.

Here it is in the dark:

Reese Weiland does 3v. Here is a proto in 3v.

I have had my fehrman shadow scout and busse sar-4 both tested for RC and both came out at 58 even.
and to finally put an end to the edge holding debate between the two
I did equal amount of cuts on card board.
the SS held its shaving sharp edge 32% longer than the sar-4
I continued to make cuts until neither would cleanly slice paper
here the sar-4 outlasted the SS by 4% (not even noticable unless you are keeping the math)
so my final verdict was 3v will hold a sharper edge longer but after both edges have lost that degree of sharpness INFI will hold a usable edge longer than 3v (the difference being only 4% but I assume it would have increased the more cuts were made)

Interesting. Thanks for posting that. Many people have not been fortunate enough to post comments on both steels at the same hardness. Bottom line is they are both good steels and preferences rest with the user.

The Zero Tolerance 0100 has already been mentioned but just thought I would add I have nothing but good things to say about the steel performance and the knife in general. One of my favorite knives and steel.

hot damn theamazingdrew comes thru again. this report keeps me from having to go thru the dreary process of cardboard cutting myself. after 30 yrs of cardboard i cringe at more cutting. however soon i will be faced with testing duratech 20v to satisfy my curosity since reports of this alloy are slim. this last few months have had me slicing cardboard to check out zdp189, queens d2', gec 1095, m4 & probably some i've forgot. i really welcome reports from younger members whom are experienced users. thanks man.
