Knives to consider with the small Sebenza?

I bought one of Buck's Mayo series framelock/Ti/S30V - heralded as the 'poor man's Sebenza'. Pricey! Nice knife - but I ultimately bought a CRK/WC 'Umnumzaan' - then a small plain-Jane Sebenza in S35VN. There is nothing like the 'real thing'! It is subtle, except in fit and finish - which will 'blow you away'!

My last purchase was a ZT-0770CF - and, de-assisted, it's been a consistent EDC ever since it came home with me.

Personally, I would bite on the small Sebbie. There are a lot of nice alternatives out there, but you will ALWAYS have the CRK in the back of your mind. There is just something about it. I have owned many Sebbies and they are the only knife I can sit and play/stare at for hours everyday and never get enough. You would think such a simple looking knife would not be able to draw you in like that, but it does.

I just ordered a TSF Beast. I'll let you know how I like it when it comes. If you are set on the Sebenza, check out knife art's carbon fiber one. Its very cool.

Turtle I had not seen that lionsteel before but it perfectly fills the gap between the small and large sebenza! I dig the design too! Thanks for that suggestion.

I was hesitant to recommend the LionSteel TiSpine (TS-1) since it has a 3.3" blade. However, if you can manage the length it's a beautiful, high-quality and slim folder. Both the SR-2 and TS-1 are made from a solid piece of titanium (SR-2 can also be had for less money with aluminum instead of titanium).

Spanto, slicer, wharncliff, I love them all.

Not slim like a sebenza, but definitely a quality small carry.

I really like the look of the tispine -- my goal for this blade is a classier smaller knife that is as at home at the office as it is being put to work around the house. After playing with the mini ritter grip for a bit I may opt for either the regular sebenza or a tispine -- since the prices are similar its nearly a toss up.

I have had a 3.5in xm18 and while I loved the blade, and would love another, they are a little heavier and thicker than what this particular search is for.

Another small seebenza ;).

The handle length concerns me, but as it's been pointed out I could get one and sell it if I don't love it with only a minor hit.

Please do! and thank you for that recommendation, I really like the looks of that carbon sebbie.

For a plain Sebenza Small 21 with no inlays and something different you may want to get either the Wilson Combat StarBenza or the Tanto blade.

Does it have to be a one hander? The Lethiers chambriard is gorgeous. It comes in many handle materials and a few sizes...

Try the ti-lite. Crk quality, nice finish, hawk lock and design, sealed ball bearing pivot, best blade to handle ratio...flickable:)

I received my new Spyderco Techno today, and I can say that is arguably one of the best folding knives I've ever owned, and I used to own a large Sebenza.

The Techno is a very, very nice knife, and finally getting it in my hands on one makes me understand why folks are still buzzing about it. If you're considering it, pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed.

Buy this one anyway. You will be shocked just how good it is.

Here are a few quick photos I put together, mostly consisting of smaller gentleman type folders. Obviously, not all of them will be direct competitors to the Sebenza.
