Knives under $25 (help with Christmas gift ideas)

If we are talking about non-knife people then a nice Victorinox SAK would probably be the best option. For people that like knives then the Ontario RAT-1 is a great folder at around $25 or the Mora and Opinel knives are always worth considering.

A quick look on Amazon shows many SAK options under $25:

Ontario Rat 1?

Hands down the Victorinox Alox Cadet. It's a basic 2-layer 84mm model that has a single large blade, nail file, and cap lifter and can opener with screwdriver ends. Thin, light, it disappears in the pocket, but is very capable. The Alox (aluminum) scales make it a classier gift than the plastic-handle models. If you look around you can find versions with color anodized scales which look pretty good. I've seen them as cheap as $15.

There are other Alox models available as well.
This knife has been my go to knife for the last few months, even though I own far more expensive knives.

Spyderco's new Stainless Steel Kiwi Slip-it

I bought a few for Christmas and birthday gifts for around $17 shipped and it comes in a beautiful small box.

Didn't know about those. Thanks!

My vote would be for the Vic Cadet also, or the Kershaw Chill ($17ish) for a more tactical knife.

Id say buy a clipper and Opinel No 8 in carbon and you have a real nice starter pack for woods (bushcrafer + backup) , I guess anyone who likes woods would love this combo
