Hello everyone I live in LA so I want to get s new knife with a blade less than 3" so I don't have to worry about having to conceal carry a bigger folder. I'm looking for somthing with premium steel (s30v, vg10 etc.) between $100-170 any suggestions?

Knife I own under 3":

Spyderco percistence
Spyderco native light weight
Mini griptalian 556 and 556-1
Zero tolerance 0900
Cold steel mini ak 47
Ontario rat 2
Buck vintage
Spyderco delica

Is there any other good folders under 3" or do I have all of them haha?

My user's under 3" are the Techno,Chaparral and a CS Tuff lite. I believe the Techno,is above your set budget though.
Also. I know its not a higher end knife, the Boker plus Trance is a great edc.

ZT0900 and DPX HEAT are both fantastic knives!

For basic EDC tasks, I've been happy with my Kershaw Random Leek. 3" s30v steel. Great little knife

Native Lightweight is one of my absolute favorite Spydercos. You can even get it in S110V now.

I own a native however I don't carry it because it's so hard to open it usining middle finger flick or just flick it using my thumb without wrest action

Im also in LA and I struggle with the 3" concealment requirement every day... I find that there are some 3"+ knives that carry well inside the waistband, specifically the kershaw skyline and the benchmade 530/531. The skyline in particular when carried tip down is super thin with a nice flat top that doesn't stab you in the gut like the tip up config does. You can check out the mcusta gentlemens series, http://www.mcustaknives.com/Page.html

I've got the delica, rat 2, and I'm buying a custom configured minigrip tomorrow. How do you like the minigrips compared to the others on your list?

Mini Ritter Grip -- M390, $130, though arguably not much of a looker even with the nice blade.
Few Cold Steel's come in under 3" that're in xhp now.
Benchmade Valet is pretty fun, also M390.
Benchmade 707 is 154CM.
Spyderco Domino is xhp, may be a tad over 3" though, also the Spydie Sage 3 which is similar in style...
There's also a ton of gentleman's knives under 3" that are high-end-ish, like someone else suggested, Mcusta.
I think Boker or Boker "Plus" makes a few Ti framelocks in the size/price/steel range.
Could get some lightweight Al Mar's for about $100, but you won't get higher end steels.
ZT 900 isn't bad.
Some mini Emersons.
Kershaw Launch 4, just for the Californians, I think that one's in CPM154, could be mistaken.

Given those, I think the Launch 4 is pretty cool, never gone wrong with a Benchmade or a Spydie either.

Ain't it funny how one cop told me using pocket clip was concealed and allowed any length and another told me concealed meant it was completely un-see-able. Spyderco delica is amazing fyi feels great in hand tho I'm never hesitant to bring it and my 910 stryker on trips up to l.a.

Under 3"? Question gets asked a lot on these forums.

Benchmade 707 Sequel, Benchmade 903/904 Mini Axis Stryker, Benchmade Mini Presidio Ultra, Chris Reeve Small Sebenza, Spyderco Dragonfly, Spyderco Cat, Spyderco Chicago, Spyderco Squeak....Those are just the 3" and under knives I own that I could think of right off the top of my head. Lots of choices.

It's pretty cool but I like the zt900 more. And if you are going to get a mini grip id say get the 2016 version with g10 it's way better than the older versions

Spyderco HAP40 Dragonfly will be dropping soon. That would be PERFECT. I have the HAP40 Delica and it has an amazing edge. Dragonfly is a great little blade.
