Knives with cut slits or removed metal

For todd begg EVERYTHING is extra. I dont even think my bodeaga came in a box. Sure glad it didnt as it would have been the only $50 box i own. And if that box had a lid? You dont even want to know.

Haha :D

Yeah, but at least Todd Begg's knives are several cuts above the rest, no matter how many of the extras you opt for ;)

I am honestly a little disappointed in their initial presentation though when you guy a knife from them. I know it's a knife designed to be used, and if I bought one, I would use it all the time, but come on guys. Even the field grades are like $700 new, and they don't even come with a box? Seriously?
I've seen someone who ordered a Beggati, and it was just in bubble wrap when it got to him. That is way too much money to not come with any kind of packaging if you ask me.

Those are "whistle-slits," and they let you know the blade is perfectly aligned during a slash by making a "whistling" sound.

Naw them are Jiggle-ditches, they stop the blade from jigglin' under impact when you connect with a whistle slash.

Thanks for the link that's actually really interesting, similar principal to a sports car's wheel having hollow spokes, and equally confusing for many people!

No problem. I thought it was interesting as well. Everything is more complicated than it seems.
