Look for the red pull handle on the window trim...they have a gasket that pulls out and then the window just lifts out or hinges out once the gasket is just pulled away.

I've had to use those on a train. It doesn't require much in the way of strength to get them off, maybe about 20 lbs to peel it away. But, that strip is a lot longer then it looks, so expect to be going hand over hand when you remove it.

Also +3 on the spring loaded punch.

well guys i know there is a gasket to pull it im not stupid xD but here our dear locomotion system changed 4 years ago and is called "Transantiago", uses electronic cards to charge your the ticket and in some routes a lot of people have to wait in the bus stop, sometimes you need to fight pushing people to take the bus xD , when the bus is full maybe you will not be near of those gaskets, so break a glass to save your life is a good thing, lots of this machine suffers an electronic or mechanical issue check this vid... im from Chile that's why my english is not so good

Well i think ESSE HEST is prefect for me, low rider clip, a bottle opener and glass braker... i want one!

One problem with using a glass breaker on a knife is a lot of stuff can go wrong, some of them can even send you to the hospital, not that that option is comparable to burning up in a bus fire. Another option (cheaper too) is a spring loaded or automatic center punch like this

can be found all over the net for less than $5 and will take out a window without fear of slashing your hand or knocking your knife out of your hand sorry for the thread drift but seemed like a good ideal.

For me that wouldn't be practical to be carrying a dedicated tool for breaking glass like I'll be encountering that everyday. Too much crap to carry.

I'd be very interested in seeing different pens with glassbreakers. I really don't want to have to carry more crap and a pen is something I already carry.

If you can add one more thing to your EDC, then I'd suggest the Benchmade Houdini Pro.

As for a folder I can only think of the Gerber Hinderer Rescue or the Boker Magnum Paramedic/Fire dept./Law Enforcement Rescue series

All of the above made in China though.
