  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Knives With "History" (For Me )

This knife was my Grandfathers. When he passed,my Grandmother took it over because she liked how well it processed chicken. My Aunt gave it to me because it was sentimental to her. She new I would take care of it. She told me she remembers her dad using in the 1930s. It is stamped Imperial Prov. R.I. I looked up the stamp and sure enough, that knife was built from 1936-1952. It has a 5" blade/3.5" handle and is about .090 thick. The funny thing is, is that it is hair shaving sharp. They sure took care to keep it sharpened.

I came across on like this (not sure if it was the same size) yesterday morning in a shop in Lowell Indiana, in near mint condition. The lade wanted $49 for it, I offered $20, she said no.
