Knives with phones

I was born lefty and trained as a kid (not by choice really) to write and do most other regular tasks right-handed. Because of that, I have weird habits that don't all line up with one another.

For example, I wear a watch on my right wrist but also write with that hand. I also bat lefty, but always use a knife righty.
My pockets look like this:
Left Front: Phone
Right Front: Knife/knives
Back Left: Keys
Back Right: Wallet/backup knife

I always answer my phone left-handed, and I usually can use my keys either way depending on what else I might have in my hands without a second thought, so it works fine for me that way.

Oh, and I also have a bluetooth neckband for my phone now, so I don't even have to take it out of my pocket to make or receive calls anymore.

Front left: phone
Front right: wallet + small edc knife

I wear a suit, so keys go in my right jacket pocket.

Pen and write in the rain pad go in left jacket pocket.

Sounds like we were raised much the same...because of it I'm ambidextrous. My Father's reasoning was "rifles aren't made for left-handed people". At least they weren't when I was growing up. :)

I always carry a phone on my left side because I've been carrying a gun on the right since before I carried a phone.

Yup. This.

Phone in low left cargo, ZT in right hip pocket. No scratches.

Kahr goes in the waistband above the ZT.

Haha yeah I had my dad tell me the same thing ;)

But I can shoot lefty and all it means is that when I'm hunting I make the second shot faster than everyone since I don't come off of the trigger to work the bolt. And when I'm standing to shot I can usually reload most mazine-fed rifles without having to come entirely off-target. Some of them are too heavy, but not many ;)

And hey, I can techinically close both eyes independantly, so I can shoot whichever way I need to. I hurt my left hand a few years back and had to shoot right-handed for a couple of shooting trips and never had a noticeable difference really.

Everybody has to work out the logistics of what they carry and how individually. I wear cargo pants 90% of the time. So...no problem.

Today I'm wearing jeans--it's a 10% day. My iPhone is in a leather folio-style case that covers the glass screen and I carry it with my Case Peanut in the left front pocket. I don't worry about scratches since the phone is fully protected by the case. My wallet is in my left rear pocket and my house keys and a Spyderco Gayle Bradley are in my right rear pocket. Truck keys are on a clip attached to a belt loop.

Right front pocket of all my pants is reserved for a small handgun, usually a S&W J-frame .38 Special.

Wallet in back right, misc junk including phone and keys in the left front. Only my knife goes in my front right.

Phone in a belt holster
Primary EDC in LFP, no clip
Keys in RFP
Micra/Maglight in RFP, clipped
Wallet with Backup EDC in LRP
Comb in RRP

Oh, and I will mention that I do occasionally double-carry in one pocket when I have more items to carry that day than I do pockets.

I usually have my Fellhoelter Ti-Bolt on me whenever I'm not at work, and I carry that front left with my phone, but it doesn't even touch my phone in most pants, and I have a case for my phone if it does a little.
Then I will also carry my Microtech Ultratech sometimes loose in the front right without the clip, and have my main knife for the day clipped to the pocket as well. Not a typical carry, but I like doing it sometimes, especailly since the Ultratech is a nice little knife that is way too fun to use and play with when you're bored ;)

Never really thought about it but I always have a S&W .380 in my right front pocket EDC in my left front and phone in my shirt pocket and wallet in right back pocket.

Ha, this thread is fun!

Phone, left front. Knife and wallet [card holder], right front. Keys, right rear.

Phone in left pocket.
Keys in right pocket.
Wallet in back pocket.

Knife in my bag. Because laws.

I carry my phone in my Left pocket. My knife goes in my Right pocket. I usually don't carry more than that (I hate the way it feels when my pockets are full). If I have anything else on me, it goes in my Left pocket with my phone (as long as it doesn't scratch my screen) or if it's small enough I'll Sometimes carry things on the bottom of my pocket under my knife handle.

Most always have both: knife in front right (was there before phones were around like above posters!) and phone in front left.

The Gerber Tech Skin knife was made for this purpose. I only wish it was a bit larger.

Completely soft, rubberized feel when closed. No problem carrying this with my phone.

I don't get it? I wear sports shorts. Two pockets only. However nothing else goes in the knife pocket. Nothing else ever goes in the knife pocket.

Never had a problem with both in the right front. I always have a knife with a pocket clip though. Never had a problem with it!

I do carry tools and flashlights in my non-knife pocket. My cell is in a sleeve. Not much different than the cases everyone else uses. Still nothing else ever goes in the knife pocket.
