Knives you have given away

of all your knives, as nice and varied as they are, that THANKS that I tried out is far and away my favorite of yours by less than one ten thousandth of an inch. They're all that good, no joke.

That's the one in the pictures above, with the 1, 2, 3 blocks......
Funny, I made That knife partly as a thought distraction shortly after I lost my father.
That picture, I didn't notice, and put 2&2 together until now...but, He made those 1, 2, 3 blocks. He was a journeyman tool and die maker.
Got me interested in making things.

That was a pretty cool PassAround..... but, You are going to have to arm wrestle
B BOHAWG for that one..... Ha!

I've given away probably over 200 knives or so. Some have been to random people posting that they liked a certain knife but couldn't afford it so they were looking for something similar in design but cheaper. If it was a knife I already had and couldn't fall for, I would just offer it to them. I've done that at least 20 times. One guy was looking for anything old and junkie nobody wanted, to give to his group of army underlings. He was a handy sort of guy and was planning on fixing up anything he got to be like new and just give it to them. I gave him several, all like new, as all my stuff always is because I don't use it. He seemed like a good enough guy.

There were a couple of times I posted up a free offer and tried to choose someone based on how much I liked the story of why I should choose them. Did that twice, both guys ended up being complete jackaroonies who took my stuff and sold it in another group I was a part of thinking I wouldn't know. People just aren't trustworthy these days.

I have a guy right now I send everything EDC to. Probably sent him alone about 100+ knives. He's gotten some really good stuff from me too. A really great guy, we chat almost every day about life, knives and Edc things. A youth pastor at his church, runs an orphanage and group homes as well as foster homes all across Oklahoma. He takes zero dollars from the government that doesn't go straight back to the kids and adults that he and his family helps. He spends very little on his passions, like knives. He makes his own knives and has recently designed one for kizer that they are working on. Just a prince of a dood! He gets all kinds of edc stuff from me! Knives, flashlights, wallets, SFKs, hanks, etc. Anything I buy and end up not falling for, he gets. Unfortunately that has slowed down since times got a lot rougher. The money just isn't there and we're getting squeezed on every side and at all angles. I've also taken a job change that provides me with a significantly superior work/life balance, which gives me actual days off to spend with my family and friends, but at a cost of the financial flush i had before. My latest batch of catch and releases will be sold off instead.

Hello all,
I'm user formerly known as osvcap. Long story but anyway...

Those I can remember giving away;
A good friend of mine that is a chief engineer on the Great Lakes, I gave 2 small plain Sebenzas. One was Insingo blade, the other drop point. They were users but somewhat slightly less than new condition.

More recently I gave a qmed a Para 3 because;
a He didn't have a knife on him.
b Try as I might, that was my second one and I just couldn't warm up to it.
c On the condition that he not be afraid to use it.

I also gave an engineer a Hogue EX-01 G10 3.5" for the total satisfaction of him allowing me to $#!tcan that broken Gerber Paraframe he was carrying.

Other than that, mostly Vic Recruits and Tinkers over the years to crews when we were stuck on board together for Christmas.

I've gifted a friend a Victorinox Forester which he loves and uses, another one got a Para3LW with black blade and my brother got a PM2 for his 30th birthday, sadly though he has no use for it, so it will most like go to our father (he also uses the Leatherman Wave I gifted my brother for Christmas couple years back)

I can’t afford really expensive stuff. I have some Benchmade and Spyderco knives. They are good enough for me. I gave some of the more budget oriented ones away, but mainly to the sons of my coworkers or extended family members. Asked the parents of course and then gifted a few slightly used blades over the years. Kids do appreciate them tremendously in my experience. One fixed blade Spyderco went to my best friend who was a police officer at that time. I think it was Ronin. Other than that nothing really.

Couple pics from current owner of the chef's knife I picked up in Texas from the student of Murray Carter. Super sharp blade that went to an absolutely lovely lady.

I gave a good friend (and knife nut) a rare Lone Wolf Harsey T2 Tactical. He has given me two very nice Benchmades.
