Knives you love

My favorite knives would have to be my SOG X-ray vision (Holds a good edge, large blade and very reliable) and my CRKT M-16 10k (Light weight, good blade and very concealable).

Benchmade Appararition and my Kershaw Bump are my favorites - depends on my attire and mood

Currently my three loves are:

Multi: Victorinox Super Tinker (nothing like a new-in-box Victorinox :D )
Folder: Benchmade Griptilian (440C, PE, OD, 550)
Fixed: Brian Goode 01 Civilian 5"

Below is my best try at a list of the knives I feel strongly about. Unsurprisingly it is a long list, but not as long as I initially expected it to be. I own a lot of knives that I really like, but don't have a strong emotional conection to, although they are functional and often attractive.

Here are the ones that are special to me:

Camillus Aftermath

Günter Böhlke Ironfinger

Bob Quinlan Mobius Clip-Point

Rob Simonich Bitteroot

FrontSight HideAway Knife Curvy

Bob Dozier Texas Six

Camillus Southwest Bowie

Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx 4" Recurve

Camillus Maxx Bowie

Kershaw Boa

I also found it interesting that none of my multi-tools made the list. That isn't because of any lack of fondness or respect, but because I don't have any that are individually special. If something happened to my current Victorinox Craftsman I could replace it an not feel too bad. I am expecting a customized Craftsman with cocobolo scales soon, which may change that...

No wonder you had to list several. Beauty-ful pieces, for sure.

Jeez, I suppose it's my EDC, the MT S20V D/A L.C.C.

But I like lookin' at my MT CFO-II:

At this time my favorite folder is my Emerson CQC-7B or my Buck/Strider 880SP.
As far as fixed blades, I always have my TOPS Wolf Pup with me, because my Seigle combat blade is too big for EDC. :)

Today, anyway

Benchmade 940sbt
Emerson CQC-11
Benchmade Mini -Grip (the number escapes me but it's the CE version with sheepsfoot blade and green handle)
Victorinox Swisschamp
Victorinox Cybertool 41
Spyderco Perrin

I've grown particularly fond of my David Boye folder with the Blue handles. I always liked my yellow one but never carried it much. The blue handles go well with jeans but the knife is so care free. I can wash it out anywhere , a faucet, stream, puddle, or pond it doesn't matter, and with little care for what water or moisture will do to anything because it won't hurt it at all.

It holds an edge just fine in my opinion and hardly needs any maintainance at all. So I love that one a lot.

As for collector pieces. I like my two Scagel reproductions from Northwoods and I like my old classic original Sportsman folding knives by Gerber a lot. I am also quite fond of my Mike England folder which may be the only one he ever made before he passed away. These are great knives that I love for the fact that I have them and few if any other people do.

I'm fairly taken with my oldest Buck 110, Vic Soldier and surprisingly my EDC Endura has crept into that realm of knives that I really really like... maybe even love.

And for pure functionality sake, I love my RTAK.

My Case XX 6445R. Old, Red Bone...Beautiful.

Leverletto. Horn Scales.

MT UT6 Blue.

MT Scarab Executive.

Spyderco Salsa, Superknife Edge, Victorinox Spartan. I'm carrying all three at work today.

I'll be the second to say X-ray vision, big blade reliable. a bit ugly but trusty as all get out. Used it tons rarely needed a sharpening. No other SOG really interests me.

1 .I love my KA-BAR U.S.M.C.. It's been to hell and back and is still as sharp as the first time I took it out of the box.
2 .My tom brown tracker.I put it through 10 tonns of hell on the trail during a 4 day hike and it came out smiling.(the saw worked fine btw)
3 .KA-BAR impact warthog.I use it every night at work I find it to be the perfect size to carry on the job.
4 .My old bone handled hunter.I don't know the make but it was my very first real knife.I got it from my dad when I was younger and I still love it.It's sharp as hell too.

The ones I love are the ones I use/carry.

Benchmade BM-43 Bali-Song (Project 43) that I modified myself.
Benchmade BM-31 Bali-Song
Benchmade 943
Emerson Commander
Emerson Karambit
Joe Pardue Utilitac

Nice to see so many balis showing up. My 42MC is near the top for me, too. Wish I had a 43...

Most loved, though? My large redwood sebenza.

For me:
1) Buck 110 from the Shoppe
2) Queen D2 Texas Toothpick
3) Spyderco Scorpius
4) Chiro75 Personal EDC
