Knives you paid less than 5 dollars for

I paid around 5 dollars for this..... It belonged to a man in the foreign military. He picked it up in England, on the way to the USA. His daughter was selling it at an Estate Sale.

I snagged a Spyderco Native, Gerber Gator, and a Kershaw Blur for $3.00 each, a Chive for a $1.00 and a Benchmade Elishewitz Stryker for $5.00. All they needed were a good cleaning and sharpening. I also got a handful of SAK's and a couple of Alox ones for a fiver or less. I've got a few more that were more than $5.00, SOG, Cold Steel, Becker etc, yet all under $20.00. The Native is in my pocket as I write!

This one was free... I ground it out of an old circular saw blade. Wicked sharp - will post pictures once I get a handle on it. Strat

Under $5? That's a tough order. I don't buy used knives, but still have managed to accumulate quite a few in the <$5 range.

The small knife in this photo might be the least expensive knife I've ever purchased, $1.39 when Schrade was going out of business:

Lots of Schrade knives, especially the Imperial brand products were being sold for under $5 back then. The two Camper knives in the left of this picture were $1.99 each.

Once bought a Ka-Bar Slimline pocketknife for $4.99, and it was no bargain to say the least.
