Knives You Wish Were Made in USA

Al Mar doesn't sound very Japanese, but I still buy them even if they sound/ and what I have heard about Al is and American background. Just think, when the price of shipping is more expensive because of fuel shortages knives will be made across the street and more custom makers will be in business.

Id say the spyderco Gayle Bradley but sadly I think the quality wouldnt be as high if it were made in Golden

Agreed, but let's be honest, we'd like to see all quality knives made in the USA, not just the ones we feel like listing here.

Currently it's made in Pakistan. A hell of a knife for the price, being full-tang and absolutely massive. But the fit and finish suck, as does the sheathe. And the steel, like all Pakistani knives, is dubious at best.

All, I would love to see a thriving American made knife industry that employed thousands of workers

Lets be honest, most of the knives by volume made in the world are cheap shit; your workers paradise falls apart because you can't have high priced labor making cheap shit because it doesn't create any value.

Spyderco Delica, Dragonfly, Caly and Sage lines. Basically all spydercos not made in Golden, CO., USA, Earth.

Especially the Sage 4, that knife would be ideal for me.

While I believe they are first rate quality I would like to see the Spyderco Sage series and Gayle Bradley made in the USA but with rising labor cost in the US I can't really see it happening.

i don't think cold steel has that much problem. if it's about quality now compared with before, it's schrade and gerber.
