Knives you wish you (still) had

A cheap simple folding two blade pocket knife that my father gave me as my first. I am sure it has to be packed away somewhere but have tried to find it several times with no success. I hope it turns up, some things just have so much sentimental value.

Had a Kershaw 1050 folding field knife that was mint and I traded it when I was young and dumb, M1 bayonet, and the first balisong that I ever had (no I don't have none, but I want a Benchmade 42, just don't have the cash for one)

Buck 120 and 124 - Both stolen along with a bunch of other knives by my sister's ex

USMC Ka-Bar - Gave it to a friend as a gift. Abused that knife when I was a teen and didn't know $h!+ about knives and it still has plenty of life left in her.

Cheap Pakistani W49 style bowie - I can talk crap about Pakistani made knives till I'm blue in the face but that particular knife stood up well to the abuse I put it through as a teen. Knowing what I know about knives now, I'm amazed that knife survived especially considering it's origins. I guess I got lucky and got a gem. Don't know what ever happened to that one. Was most likely misplaced during a move.

My case xx cigar jack knife my grandfather gave me when I was 8 years old. I lost it in one of my many moves.

All the knives my father gave me when I was a kid, and the one's he left me when he passed away, when I was 7.
Close to 30 classic/vintage knives from the 1930's to 70's. Fixed and folding Case, Gerber, Buck, Schrade, Marbles, Ka-Bar, Ontario, Boker, and Camillus. Also, one Randall (not sure which model. never got too close to it.) and a Loveless drop point. All stolen, by a couple family members, before I was 10. I never even got to enjoy them. They also stole quite a gun collection. Gotta love family.

My Grandpa who was a Miner in Boulder Co, died over 40 years ago and left me his knife collection. By the time it arrived in Ca, there was just a little white handled penknife left that had on it Dow Chemical Co. (he had a few brothers). Still I wish I had that little knife. Hello, Just registered...James

My Delica 4 ffg in blue is the one knife I miss the most. I had it since it came out and lost it(with a pair of Oakleys, my Iphone and my wallet) at a wild party I went to a few months ago... I will get another one soon, but it was my cherished first Spydero.

I wish I still had a cold steel triple action my moms old Swiss army knife and the old knives I had when I was in my early boy scout years

I actually forgot about one of my own 'lost' knives and was reminded of it while reading the replies above. My dad's younger brother, my favourite uncle, had been a sailor just after WW2, and gave me a Gurkha Khukri he'd brought back. It was one of the classic designs with the two small knives in the scabbard, and a lion's head pommel. It looked great, but I can't attest to the actual quality because I only saw it as a kid. He gave it to me when I was just a small child, and my parents insisted I leave it at my grandmother's (where my uncle lived) until I was a little older. I do remember carrying it on my belt at least once, while playing on a bomb-site with another kid, when I was six or seven (nobody seemed to think this was a bad idea at the time). Then my uncle died, he was very young, only in his mid 30's, and one of my relatives stole the knife for her own kid, who was just a baby at the time. I never saw it again.

When I was a teenager I had a Spyderco Harpy, I was in a small town and good knives were really difficult to find so it was a gem! Lost it during a move, really miss it and will have it again!

I was EXTREMELY upset when I thought I lost my lefty Spyderco Military, ordered a new one, it was almost imported when I found it! Gifted the new one to my father in law.

but I bought three years ago. Mint as I thought they would be discontinued but they are pre-production. I will trade/sell one or two soon on the boards. Successfully sold a Busse Mean Street recently --- boy, everyone wanted that!
