Knives you would like to own

1. At the top of the list would have to be one of Darrel Ralph's stilettos done up in mammoth ivory.

2. A high end folder from Mr. John W. Smith. Just something simple, blued damascus blade and bolsters, a little gold inlay and fluted pearl for scales.

3. David Broadwell sub-hilt with damascus and mammoth ivory.

4. D/A EDC from Darrel.

5. D/A SOCOM. Just have to get around to picking up one of these someday.

A Cold Steel Black Bear Classic, and maybe a Cold Steel Tai Pan.

I think my mind is made up. I am going to get the Mad Max and to heck with food.
I saw another knife that I would love to have on page 121 of the March Blade magazine. It is a fixed blade fighter with damascus blade and stag handle. Beautiful knife.

Oh my, what a question. The first few that some to mind are:

Spyderco CF Ladybug with plain blade.
Small Sebenza
Finally, but most coveted would be a Tim Zowada damascus utility.

Hey guys, how about if we change things up just a little bit. Along with telling us what knife you covet, tell us what it is sbout these knives that makes you want them so much. That way other that read this post may find something in what is here that will help them to decide if they might like to get one of the same knives for themselves.
I think doing this would make this thread more interesting.

Thought Maybe I should start the ball rolling:
Darrel Ralph Mad Max, built like a tank, looks to kill for and big, also made by Darrel Ralph, enough said.
M.O.D. Dieter CQD MkII, I like the lines of this knife. It looks like it would feel real good in the hand.
Spyderco Gunting, this is to me a great looking martial arts knife. I do not have one yet and this looks like the place to start.
Camillus Mini Talon, I have the Talon and would like a smaller version of it.
Timberline Valloton, I want an assisted opening knife, and this seems like it would be a great choice. Very well made, from what I hear, and a great price.
I hope that wasn't to long winded.

Benchmade: Nimravus, Stryker
Camillus: CQB-1, Arc Lite
Spyderco: Native, Rescue Jr
Cold Steel: Recon Tanto, Vietnam Tomahawk

Do I need a good reason?

Keith,

I haven't seen this Mad Maxx. Is there an image someone could direct me to?

Here's my list:

1) Woody Sebenza in box elder gives me a woody.

2) Anything by Darrel Ralph because you guys have whipped me into a complete frenzy over his knives so I gotta find out what all the fuss is about.

3) Cold Steel Scimitar just because it looks cool as hell.

4) Mission Folder in Ti because my buddy's dad is part owner and about to buy the company and I might be able to get a small discount.

5) Primitive friction folder by Tim Lively.

6) Parcelous's collection, because after looking at a few of them on one of his recent posts I was left gasping for air.

Always like the look of a Randall Fireman with Border Patrol handle. Just seems to me to be a great looking little knife with strength and utility in no short measure. Also got that name on the blade with all the attached heritage.
Paul.

Szilaski 4 inch blade ($3,400); Left Handed of course.

I didn't say I would buy it.

Keith,
Great choice! I ordered mine this past Monday. I got the bowie blade and ceramic peen finish. Have you placed your order yet? In the email that Darrell sent me he indicated that Tuesday was the last day to order to get it my mid-February. It may be several months to a year before he does more.
BTW, I understand that Darells mother was just diagnosed with cancer. Our prayers need to be with his mother, him and their family.

Art;
No I have not yet ordered a Mad Max but will probably do so as soon as Darrel gets back. The wait is OK because I am putting out $900.00 for a knife next month already and need some time to save again.
That is a real shame about Darrel's mom and I wish her a full recovery. My thoughts and wishes go ouy to darrel and his family.
By the way Art, you have great taste in knives.
Keith.

A traditional Japanese katana is always my most wanted. However,it may always remain a dream. So sad.

As to knife,I would like to own a kukuri.I ever found one in a Taiwan knifestore, that kukuri had wood handle, and a date "1915" engraved on it.That one was good, but the knifestore asked me for 60000 NTD,about 1800 USD.That is unreasonable, and made me gave up that chance.
