Great Pics.
Thank you!

I see so many knives I want including a couple I have asked for and was told may appear at shows.
Now, Blade 2012 can not come soon enough. If this is what comes to the Creek, I cannot wait to see what goodies show up in Atlanta.

Eric,

Great pics! thanks for posting so guys like me can get some eye candy. I bet there were not any Becker or ESEE knives there, LOL!

The blades with "fins" along the spine to edge

What are these models? If they weren't all sold are they for sale via phone order?

The character of Knob Creek and Blade is very different. Blade is the biggest knife show in the country and tends to be more about new releases; don't expect to see something from two or three years ago at Blade. They also have to keep knives on the tables throughout the show, so what they bring won't be available all at once. Knob Creek gets a lot of older stuff -- if some old blanks are left over, they'll finish them up and bring 'em. Except for one show, all of the Knob Creeks that I've attended have been purely first come, first served. If they could sell everything on the first day, they'd be happy -- the Busse crew comes to town to sell knives.

Blade is more of a trade show, so is more about generating "buzz" and brand recognition -- its as much (or even more) of a social event/party as a knife sale. I've never been to Blade, and will probably never attend, but I've talked with a lot of folks who have. Knob Creek often has show specials -- they didn't this year, but they usually do and this was a weird situation with the Machine Gun Shoot having been canceled; KC specials are good, but some of the Blade specials I've heard about have been outstanding -- for instance, when the Gladius was released, LEs were a show special at more than 50% off. Most of the people who attend Blade love it, but it's a true multi-day event where you should hang out and see what's happening at the booth several times per day, not a stop in once, buy your knives and leave, which works fine at Knob Creek. I like Knob Creek, I don't know that I would like Blade nearly as much -- that's not to say that one is better than the other, just that they're different types of events.
