Really had a great time at Knob Creek. The only thing is now I want a "black rifle". I've got a really good Mini-14, but there seeme to be a yen for another .223.
What is a good AR15 clone? I've shot just about all other rifle styles, but never before gave these a second look. I don't need a 1MOA at 300yard rifle, just something to go plinking with.
This will be my next rifle:

Anyone know anything about the DPMS rifles? are they any good? I handled some at a local dealer, and they seemed pretty sweet.

Not highly recommended.
There are several other brands that will serve you much, much better.
LMT, Rock River, Bushmaster to name a few.
The comments I see about the Colt make me happy.
Four or 5 years ago, a buddy had to take in his grand kids and had to come up with some $$$. Being a good guy :grumpy: I gave him a pot load of $$$ for a bunch of his guns.
One is an unfired Colt match target competition and three 30 round clips.. Its just been living in the safe in its unfired condition, I guess waithing on the up coming war with MexicoGot so much in it that I haven' t even tried to sell or trade it. So far it hasn't gotten into a fight with the mini14 stainless ranch standing next to it.

Cool words guys!! Maybe I'll break it out one of these days and play with it.
They are magazines not clips. Being a gun nut that is one of my pet peeves.
