Knob Creek was Awesome!

Hey Dan, It was great to meet and talk to you. Those who we see on the forum are just avitars and thoughts, but it is much better to sit down and shoot the bull with fellow HOGS. :-)
I've been going to knob creek since back in the early 90s. It has become much more commercialized than what it used to be, and when I went on saturday, I had to park about 2 miles away out on the main road and walk in. I love living in Ky, we are still a free state because we do have the right to own "2nd" amendment weapons, " ps the rocket launchers are non-functional" but the other weapons.. vulcan mini gun, .50 cals, and MG-42s were all blazing away, It's just a good feeling knowing all that firepower, is in the hands of the people. Preparadness is a virtue. :-)

Yea, you were one of those really cool people, it was great talking to you. You got a killer score and if you ever want to part with any, you just let me know =) Yea, I know it's cool to be able to own. I guess the same could be said about us having a MOAB, we don't really need it, but it's one of those things that is just good to have.
Dan

It was nice to say, "I held a MOAB in my hand!" such beautiful pieces of work, but for the $$ I'll take 5 fusion steel hearts. I was on a diet too and did not touch the cheesecake, although I think I drooled on the reese cup one :-)
My 2 favorite times of the year. October and April. Have to prepare myself mentally a month before hand for "trough warfare" Your haul was very nice, you might have had to get your shocks replaced on your vehicle after you got back though!
Havent' made it to blade yet, always broke after Knob creek

DIET:confused::confused::confused:

There are no calories in cheesecake at The Creek. Walking around all that sweet hardware wears of what few calories the beer and scotch have in them.

Damn Dan! Looks like you got a MOAB before me. Well worth the 11hr drive:D

So that's where all the Active duties went. Oh well, I guess you saved me some money. I would have been nice to hold one in person though.

Dan,
Good meeting at Knob. I couldn't believe the number of knives you scored. But, thanks for parting with the MNSFNO. I really like that one. I gave it to Garth to buff out, so I've got that to look forward to in a couple weeks.

Dan. The Creek was a great time for me this year again. Meeting and talking to you and everyone else was great. Wathing the people as they hurried and scored their pieces was priceless. Hope to see you and all this October back at the Creek. --Bill

Dan,

Now that's what I call dedication, 11 hours:eek:. Nice haul Bro, wish I'da been there!!!

I'm so pissed I didn't make it to the Hotel Thursday night. I was only 30 minutes away at a buddies house and got held up.

Is the same thing going down in the fall of 2010? I sure hope so!

Yea, to all those I have met, it was a great time and I look forward to doing it again. To all those that missed it, sometimes life happens but you have to think, there is going to be another one right around the corner!
Dan

A big INFI thank you to Dan for making the long trip, acting as a proxy, and p/u some real sweet blades. I hope have a couple of pics of the MOAB's (blue/black & Desert Storm handles) up soon !
