I thought this was a giant party with free booze?
I have no wish to be a buzz kill as I absolutely love the machine gun shoots. But the April shoot is canceled according to their website - http://www.knobcreekrange.com/next-machine-gun-shoot-dates about half way down someone from KCR states that the April shoot is canceled, which really blows as I have been looking forward to it myself. But I thought I would pass it along as I am not certain how far people were going to be traveling to get here, and would hate to see people show up for no show.

April Show is cancelled folks, sorry to say, I'm a vendor there..... There is NO SHOOT IN APRIL, as they say on their website; Too Much Water, Not Enough Bridge....

Busse will still be setting up at a hotel near the shoot as they do every Thrus before the Spring and fall shoot, only they are doing it on a Saturday this time since the shoot is canceled :thumbup:dericdesmond

I'm indecisive, but will likely come. On one hand, it's less than an hour away from home, but on the other, I always seem to spend more than I intend. Last show, I thought I'd pick up an SOS FSH. I really had nothing else on my list, but didn't buy the FSH (I decided to wait until the 'ganza because shipping would be less than sales tax, but none were left over) -- still, I managed to spend nearly $2K on "targets of opportunity." I like what I bought, but I don't think I'd have missed them if I hadn't been there.
Assuming that I come, I'm leaving Zuki at home. He was abandoned before I adopted him, so I don't know what his first couple years were like. He's not accustomed to being around many people, so I thought going to the hotel sale would be a good experience for him. However, he was very "clingy" for a couple weeks afterward, so in hindsight, it may have been too much.

Unfortunately the spring shoot at Knob Creek has been canceled due to bridge construction over the creek. I'm a vendor there (B12) and they sent us a notice a number of weeks ago. Should be no problems with the fall shoot 12-14 Oct. 2012. Hope to see you all this fall. Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot rocks!!!

The Busse Crew is still coming to the Golden Manor on Saturday to sell knives. They typically sell a lot of their inventory at the hotel on the Thursday evening (before Knob Creek opens), so they'll almost certainly do well. After the first couple Machine Gun shoots at KC, I continued going more to buy form the Busse tables than for the range action. Perhaps I'll see you in the Fall, although I've gotten into the habit of just making the Thursday night sale. You may be just saying "Hi" to some of your customers and friends by noting that you won't be in town for the Spring show, but Busse is still scheduled to come to town.
