If they ever made a Gen.2 what would you like to be different? I'm still on the fence. I might buy one soon. Just to have an assisted beater for work. If seems pretty cool. Thanks!

I think they did a pretty good job with the original. Rather than making a gen 2 I think they should make limited edition variants with different color handles.

This. In my mind the sub frame lock is perfectly set up for other handle materials. G10 would be cool, maybe a premium with titanium.

Lol as cool as that sounds neverdie36 your talking a knife that will be more expensive than an 0560 lol.

It would he expensive for sure. Not really a knockout 2 but I feel like we are due for a high end limited edition kershaw. Not a ZT, a kershaw. Last one was the Tilt and despite having 3 at one point, I failed to retain one.

As for a realistic knockout 2?

I can't think of much other than different color handles and maybe an s30v blade.

I don't think kershaw has to be in the super high end market, that is zt territory. I like the separation between the branches of Kai.

For regular products, absolutely. It means we get high end products manufactured by kershaw on a regular basis, no denying it.

Maybe not high end, but I would like to see them improve their offerings in the $80-$140 range.

I still believe that is what the zt division is for, kershaw is a budget friendly brand that gives incredible value for a low price. I don't want them to be like spyderco charging those prices for some sprint run that comes with a different colored frn. I like spyderco so don't get me wrong but how they justify their prices sometimes blows my mind. Once you get into dropping 3 figures on a knife I want it to say zero tolerance not kershaw.

Now I could see that happening in the future especially if it becomes a really popular offering from them.

Different colors and stone washed CPM-154 would be my vote. Although OD green and black blade would be sweet.

I'm with Brent- give us some options and I'd buy a bunch. Only thing the original is lacking IMO is a detent hole.

I'd love to see a Knockout in S30V or CPM154.

This is very close to what I would like to see. Sprint runs in Elmax and S35VN would be cool too, 154CM could be perfect because it would probably add no more than $20 or $30 to the cost of the knife. This is important to me because a big part of the Knockout's appeal to me is that it doesn't cost ZT money.

BrentD86, I think you meant different bladesteel as well as different color handle materials on sprint run Spydercos. An example is the Stretch, 75 for black vg10, 95 for green zdp189, 105 for gray with sprint super blue. Seems to be priced fairly for what you get. That is pretty much how I see Blurs priced also in its varying forms. Can you offer an example of Spyderco charging a different price strictly just for a diff color scale?

As or the KO, I really like mine... Perhaps adding a detent would be nice. I would have liked an original G10 version but Jimmer already said its gonna stay aluminum as far as he knows. One in CPM154 would be very nice. Diff color perhaps also.

Some of their stuff is reasonable but other times they charge in the mid 100 dollar range for something that is no where near it when you take into account the size of certain blades. I do like them I just believe that in certain circumstances you pay a lot for the name and some sprint runs feel like you are already paying secondary market prices for a limited run new.

I'm trying to understand what you're saying. Do you have any examples? Spyderco doesn't have a ZT line so knives are offered at different price points.

Take the Endura/Delica, all colors available in VG10 are the same price. $20 bucks more and you can get one in zdp, a substantial upgrade. I dont see where a different color handlescale gets called a sprint and costs more (maybe long disco'd models revived for a limited run with updated pricing). The Blue PM2, isn't a sprint run, it is a dealer commissioned exclusive, the dealer charges high for everything they sell including the blue PM2. It was their price not Spyderco's (which does suck). Sizes of certain blades dont matter much and doesnt tell the full picture as machining costs/time are the same, if that wasnt the case, the 566 will be Ti instead of SS for the pricepoint Kai is chasing. I'll cite the Techno, its a 2.5ish inch blade, that sells for 165. Less than half the price of my small Sebs with a newer steel and stonewashed Ti. Small blade but prety good for what you get. How about the GB Air, 125 for M4 steel and glass fiber and Ti scale. Again small blade but look at what you get. It's all relative bro. Spyderco does listen to what their customers want on the forums, hence the sprints. Kind of the same as what this thread is all about. It'd be nice to see limited KO's for sure. I just dont see the negative correlation you are trying to avoid with a limited run that warrants bringing up Spyderco's pricing.
