Know anyone with the proverbial ONE EDC knife?

I've carried the same knife for over two years, with only a couple exceptions... Lost it for a couple weeks, Loaned it to my dad for a week or so, sent it in for a tune up, didnt have it for about 3 weeks.

I dont expect to carry anything else for a long time, unless I ever get my hands on an Emerson ES1-m or a Waved Cqc-8.

Yeah me too, I've given away a lot more knives than I own and I've never heard of any of my friends or family tell me about a knife they bought to replace it. I do know of several that still carry the knife I gave them. I guess with all of the seeds I've planted I've never really grown a true Knifenut.

Can't say I haven't bought any other knives but my EDC since 1963 has been a 3 bladed Schrade slipjoint. I bought it to use when I was trapping muskrat as a kid; it's gone to college; travelled with me in the Army; gone to a variety of jobs with me & still is my EDC. Has performed well as an apple slicer, cardboard box cutter, staple remover, splinter-getter-outer, plastic strap remover, letter opener, wire stripper, eyeglass screw tightener, whittler, oh yeah! in the early days even skinned a few muskrats! Don't remember what I paid for it, but seems to have been a great investment!
