Putting knives up on the Exchange at very reasonable prices and then seeing them on Ebay immediately afterwards. :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

I get the whole thing about Capitalism, Supply & Demand BLA BLA BLA, but its still LAME!!

John

Even worse when they are marked *gone* or *traded* by the seller/trader, and then you see the same ones that were marked *gone* from the same seller/trader on the bay.

While I haven't done it, I can't grasp what you think is lame, did you get the price you asked?...if so what do you care if they may sell it on Ebay.

Once the person purchases the knives they are his/hers to do with as they wish. This isn't something that would bother me.

True, silly of me to think the exchange was a place where Profiteering members (SHOULD BE DEALERS MAYBE?????) weren't lurking:barf:

Yep, stupid me idealistically thought putting some cool knives out at a price that recouped my shipping and gold membership costs instead of going for maximum dollars was a plus for forum members.
Lesson Learned.

I think what the issue is is the violation of what some might feel is "community spirit".

I've been in a similar place, I gave someone a good deal on a knife as I figurerd it was a good community spirited thing to do.

They turned around and relisted it for double what they paid me. They interested in PROFIT, not community. The person in my case doesn't hang around BF anymore though.

I understand completely why you are upset, but there is nothing you can do about it. Don't let something so trivial get to you. You did a nice thing in trying to give a good deal to the members here. You have no control over what happens to the knives after they leave you. Just make sure that you don't sell to that person again. That's about the only recourse you have.
