MacHete and I got back from a wonderful weekend in West Virginia (where I live) to find waiting for us a triangular box! Contained inside the box was a gorgeous, thoughtfully customized Cherokee Rose. On one side was etched wedding bells and on the other, entwined hearts. Bryan hinted that something like this would be coming but we never imagined such a unique and generous gift!!! :cool:

We want to thank everyone (we know who you are because Dan sent us a list) :D who contributed. We will be sure to post a picture of us cutting the wedding cake when we finally decide when the wedding will be. :p

Very glad you like it, and you can thank Dan for organizing the effort! Congratulations and here's to many happy years together.

Now at least one of you is well-armed in case you have an argument! :)

Just kidding, really! (Although I am very glad that I didn't own any HI khuks when my wife and I were going at it a few times early on; best she could manage was an M-7 bayonet!)

Peeps, glad you got the knife. I was broke at the time, so couldn't help pitch in, but wanted too. LOL. Congrats again. Can't wait for the pics!

I'll just echo Svashtar and say that you can thank Dan and Ferrous. All I did was throw in a few dollars. After Bryan had those great t-shirts made for us it was the least I could do. :) Here's wishing you both a wonderful wedding and better life together.

I have some pre-ship pics here, but I'd want' Bry's and Peeps OK b4 passing them along...

I hadta laugh, cause Dan calls me up when it shows up here and says "Try to make it look non-threatening." I'm like "Non-threatening? It's a 21 inch scimitar!":D

Hope you like the heart shaped finials, on the crossguard, too.

Ooops! Sorry! Yes, we loved them ~ we thought they made the knife look especially non-threatening! ;)

Of course, you have our permission to post any pics at all. (After all, it'll be a while before we have any pics to post.)

Ferrous did an incredible job! We can't wait to see our families' reaction! :D

I gave my screwup 3 hours, but have to run some errands. Don't think I have abandoned the cause.

I'll check back later and hopefully Keith will have seen my message and bailed me out, and I will post the pics then.

Got 'em. Give me a few minutes; they have to be reduced in size quite a bit in order for BF to accept them.

Pix finally! Sorry, it took me quite a bit to reduce size & color, then change file types twice in order to get each below BF 100K limit.

All from Ferrous, so enjoy!
